I can go Sunday since I'll be up in Big Bear on Sat. Trail is fun with plenty of different sized rocks to roll over or weave your way around. Here's a sample.....

Red Box to Switzers is a blast, I can do all of it but one section on my rigid single speed....more fun and faster with suspension. Many run downhill bikes.

Switzers to JPL could be a Jewis and Clark affair, for what I have heard, and I keep asking, not enough bike traffic to make it mostly rideable and hard to find the trail. Red Box to Switzers is the last leg of the Strawberry Loop and in my opion a better ride at this time...unless you want to spend the day shuttling RB to Switzers.

If you do the ride to JPL be sure to take someone that knows the area....it is a bitch of a climb out of there to Highway 2.

Hey Lisa, welcome back. I wouldn't do the part from Switzers on down. Lots of hiking over loose boulders and poison oak. George this is also a warning for you. There is a good size group of people going up to Hurkey Creek this weekend. In fact I think 3 seperate groups are going and it looks like to be 30 or more bikers staying up there.
