Who night rides here? I usually ride either Turnbull or Fullerton at night and can ride Tues - Friday.

Any other good night spots somewhat close to Long Beach?

I've never ridden any trails at night but I'd like to start. What do you think are the bare essentials for lights for riding a trail like the loop?

i've done all my night rides with incycle bike shop in san dimas, on monday nioghts at 6 pm

they usually go to marshall canyon or bonelli for the beginners

it's a blast

My Monday nights are busy (for now).

Jawbreaker . . . first and foremost you need a light. I have the light and motion ARC HID light and I love it (but it is a bit pricey). Don't think you'd need too much light to do fullerton, so you could get away with like a 15watt halogen? After a light you could get some clothes which are a bit warmer if it's cold.

...

i used to use my 10W Halogen Niterider for the Loop, wasnt bad -- but its a pain to wait so long for it to charge.

Hey all. I'll nite ride any trail, any time, and with any style (dh, fr, or xc). I think I like night riding so much because you have to use the "force"(it's more soulfull). If anyone wants to go, post your ideas and we'll set somethig up. Ben

Awesome, I'll def. take you up on that soon. Epic Mtn Biker says he's good to go Thursday nites so maybe us three can do some thursday nite rides? Looks like it might rain wed.-fri. of this week though . . .

Fullerton loop is great at night when I'm pressed for time (honey do lists). Other wise Mon.,Wed. are my best times for night rides that are abit more intense. Ben

A night ride sounds fun. If you guys dont mind a new rider just getting into the sport, let me know.

Anybody that has a light can come as far as I'm concerned.

Can't wait to night ride again. :bang:

I'm riding Fullerton loop @7 on Wed. nite. Easy pace (getting over the flu). Anybody who wants to ride be ready to roll at 7 sharp. Ben

Wednesday will probably be clear as far as rain goes. Then it'll come back thurs until who knows.

If you see a black celica and a short guy (5'6"ish) with a black yeti 575, that's me. You start @ the courthouse?

If I finish the cable install tomorrow and work doesnt take up the whole day I'll be there. If not then say hello to the dirt (and concrete) for me

How do you guys transport your bikes? will it fit on your trunk? or is a car rack necessary?

Doesnt the rack dent the bumper ?

night

Hey guys,

My buddy and I just went out last night on the Loop. We both had our Cygolite Night Rovers that work pretty well.

I have to tell you, there's something creepy and fun about riding at night!

RL

im also looking at the cygo lite 16w. how much watts is yours? where and how much did you pay for it ?

night

I bought my 12w on Ebay from a seller named "cardboardboxes." I paid $52 for it. Great guy, he'll let you do a local pickup too.
