Lytle Creek Road, anyone know what it is? It looks like it connects Lone Pine Canyon Rd. and Mt. Baldy road.

The reason I ask is this: Imagine riding from Pasadena to LaCanada, climbing up the Crest, and taking it all the way out to the Lone Pine/Wrightwood area, hooking over to Baldy via Lytle Creek Rd. From there, you could take GMR down and head back to Pasadena.

Climbing to Mt. Wilson and Mt. Baldy in one day is something I've wanted to do, and seeing that it could be done in one big loop has me stoked.

So, any advice on Lytle Creek?

You know, the more I look at it on google earth, the more it's looking like a dirt road, haha.

Lytle Creek Road is unridable on a mountian bike from the shooting range (end of pavement) to Stockton Flats. The rains of a few years ago turned the road into a wash. Basketball sized and larger rocks. If I was at my home computer I could post some pics.

And yes Mt Baldy Road is dirt.

So much for the epic loop. Google Earth makes everything looks so damn perfect, too, haha
