Based on the 562 post, I got curious as to whether there are any local dawgs for me to ride with from STR.

As much as I love to test out new trails, lately, I just cant get away for a long ride plus a longish drive so I am most of the time, forced to ride locally (ie, Ventura County, Santa Monica Mountains).

In fact, knowing my recent track record, as much as I would love to do the shuttle and/or the Joplin ride or whatever it ends up, I will likely be unable to escape for the time required this weekend and will have to stay close.

my dad lives in west hills, but i haven't had much time to head out there.. i have been wanting to hit up the trails out there and i may be stopping by next month so i'll let you know if/when i'm coming up

I ride in the Santa Monica Mtns all the time. Tues/Thurs spin up Sullivan Ridge/Canyon/Westridge after work 5pm. Weekends, same thing but venture to the hub/Eagle Rock/Will Roger/Paseo Miramar. I spin slow, and even slower on the SS. See ya out there.

OK Shizzle. I usually park on the corner of Capri Dr. and Almafi Dr. You'll see couple of cars out there with racks. Mine is a green jeep with a roof rack. Looking at 5pm. I'll be on a chrome Bianchi SASS and wearing elbow pads.

thanks so much! unfortunately, i have to head home as my wife needs to study tonight (nursing school).

however, i am riding this weekend with some work friends probably 8:30 in sycamore canyon in ventura (not sure if ocean side of sycamore canyon or entrance from other side in thousand oaks off of the 101 at wendy drive)..... as it does not look like i can make the big rides planned by DSTEPPER and/or dukethenuke I need to stay local so as to get home earlier.
