Aliso on 5/4 (Thursday)

That's right. For those who missed the Sunday ride or want to do it again, join me this Thursday. I'm a new beginner and have never organized a ride or even ridden Aliso so be warned: it will be slow and we might stop often!

When: May 4th @ 8:00am

Planned trail: Wood Canyon --> Cholla --> Rock it --> Coyote (and maybe another round depending on the circumstances)

Meeting place: The main entrance

I might be in :) ...those were fun trails!! Glad to see more rides posted for those who like a relaxed pace!! Until the downhills that is ...:bang:
 
Yeah Im definetly up for more "beginner" rides cause God knows Im definetly in that catagory!!! Unfortunatly I can only ride Fullerton Loop during the week due to where I work and the time I get off... So if you might be interested, hit me up....

Or I could do Aliso on weekends too

BTW, Meadows is a fun way down from Top of the World at Aliso as well....

Do you guys want to do it at 8am or 8:30am?

I don't mind changing the time. I'm just trying to sort of beat the heat!

I'll be out there around that time, but I'm going to be riding at a fast pace. I need to get ready for my upcomming races. Maybe I'll see you out there. I'll be on a blue enduro with the STR sticker on it.

I'll be on the look out. I'll have a burgundy/grey jersey... and a gunmetal bike? (nothing special)

Sorry Alex...I'm gonna have to bail on this one because of more jobs added for Thursday and forgot...there is actually traffic to deal with on weekdays#-o !! Hope to join ya again on this one soon...
Afternoon/evenings sometimes better for me :confused:

If your only time concern is the heat, the weather calls for a high in the mid-60's on Thursday. ;)
 
What did you decide on time-wise? At that hour, you're gonna be sitting in rush hour traffic from Downey to Aliso Viejo. I would say either go at about a 7am start time (leaving at 6am...have fun...lol), or a 10am start time (leaving at 9am). In between the drive will suck. I can't get up early enough to make 7am, but 10am I could do. If not, I'll probably ride Whiting tomorrow late morning or mid-day. ;)
 
...or perhaps I'll do Aliso around 3ish! Who knows! Gotta talk to Shannon, see where she feels like riding. Her go-to is always Crystal Cove. The view was pretty nice yesterday. When are these clouds gonna clear up, anyhow?!?!
 
I'm gonna hit it at 8am. I'm going to be taking the 605 --> 91 --> 5.... all carpool. Gotta love the HOV stickers.

It should take me about 30-45minutes since its 30 miles away.

Looks like i'm an early bird so maybe i'll join you guys in a late shift (if i skip class!)

I met MadMike from geoladders and he was leading the way. Man, i am either out of shape or people out there are excellent climbers.
 
Cool! Sorry I couldn't make it, I got busy cleaning the garage this morning...and guess what I'm STILL doing?! lol. I'll hit Whiting late afternoon I guess. :)
