Its been a few years since I had grabbed the bike and went to a new area to search for new trails and obstacles. It was a blast to just be free to wander around exploring creek paths, fireroads and anything that looked like it might have been a trail at one time.

In the end I found a rarely used rugged (legal) trail that never gets maintained. The vertical is about 3000' in 5 miles. This is just what I needed to find for a reason to keep the DH/FR bike from rusting.

Lessons learned were ; Don't give up on finding the perfect trail.
Flat pedals have thier uses.
Exploration is fun.
My DH bike kicks @ss.
Fullface helmet and body armour save your flesh.

Freeride is still out there for the bold adventurers.

So this is a shuttle ride I'd assume? I'd like some info on it, PM me if you don't want to post about it publicly

Looks like just off the Main Divide: looking east, down Cow and Indian Canyons towards Highway 15.

I wonder how far down the hill it goes, if it is ridable and where it dumps out at?

You are right that section looks like a ton of fun. Could get scary steep.

When through some of my old pictures and, Yes I have been there. Rode down that first section but by the time I got there had had enough climbing for the day so did not explore further.
