On the http://www.kssuspension.com/index.html site they do advertise a 350mm 4" post thats 30.9. I tried to have the LBS's order one several months ago but they couldn't because their suppliers didn't have them in stock. Maybe an overseas order. I ended up buying the 385mm 5" and was very happy with the extra leg extension I didn't know I had. This was on my Giant AC 2002 which only gave me 1" of seat tube adjustment. As mentioned before, you cannot cut the 385mm kindshock.

I have the Ks i950r as well and have had it for a while now. it seriously makes my bike 10 times more capable. I wouldn't imagine riding with out it. Its kinda a steep price for a seat post yes, but so worth it. I even sent it back to ks to have it serviced and they did it for free and really fast!

I'm surprised more folks aren't chiming in for the reverb. I'm shopping too. ...something about this unit folks aren't digging?

i'm already in love with it. it's gonna make my rides much more fun. i always hated stopping to move my seat back up to a pedalling position (which sometimes is not an option).

i think the price is what's turning people away. you can get a just as good/better (debatable) ks for less.

Did CB steal your idea? Do you have a picture of your new post and will it come in colors?

Huh? Reverb is $10.00 more all over the internet and it's worlds better than the crappy cable operation of the KS. Hydraulic is the future, I'm not trading my hydraulic brakes for Avid BB7's anytime soon.

not everybody buys strictly from the internet. i'm not here to argue which is better or not. i was just stating why i think more people pick the ks over the reverb.

More People have ks cause they have been out longer....reverb is new and is hydraulic....i went with rockshox as they are a large company that isn't going anywhere and I hear their customer service is top notch. I love my revelation so I have them a try.

I was going to go with ks in the beginning but tani at path talked me out of it and told me to go with a reverb. I also like that you can control the speed on it....works awesome so far

Agreed. To be completely honest, all these posts have there upsides and downsides. One really does have to weigh the benefits and costs for one's particular situation. I have owned the Joplin 4 and now the Reverb. I like the seatpost better on the Reverb, and the hydraulics are so simple to maintain. But, I liked the lever of the Joplin better because when riding in a situation where you had to deal with techy steep stuff, then shift and raise/lower a seat, the ability to kind of blindly swing your finger/thumb at the lever and make contact was great. The true selling point of the Reverb for me was the Matchmaker. I decreased the clutter on my bars from 4 clamps down to 2 for all brakes, shifters, and remotes. In reality the cost difference is fairly minimal in this entire market in my opinion.

No one stole it, CB was'nt even the first to the market with one, it was the Gravity Dropper. I cant blame anyone on stealing my idea, since I sold my business and the new owner was not interested in manufacturing the Elevator Shaft.
I believe the new Elevator Shaft will be a success and will have features that the others dont. I hope to have and be showing them at Sea Otter next month...and yes they come in any color..as long as its black!.....but who knows, if the demand is high for colors other than black, we will certainly look into that.
