A ride for the non-racers this weekend

Hey Matt, we're going to be riding Aliso Sunday morning. So far it will be Dino, Craig, Aldo (yes he's alive) and myself. We'll probably meet in the canyon vista side and we may go down Steps over into LCWP. Time isn't set yet but will probably be around 8:30 or 9.
 
Would like to join you, but I'll need to know a couple things first:

1) The nearest source of Newcastle Brown Ale, bottle or draught, to the end of the ride.

2) How many of those I'll have to buy FXRob for a quick spin on his new Pack.

Saw it on MTBR--sweet! :clap:

If I can tag along, its been awhile since I have been to LCWP, so if you don't mind another rider along I'd like to go. PM me with the starting time if so.

oo cool... Ive never been down Stair Steps yet. So where did you hear from Aldo?? whats up buddy :wave:

So were gona meet at Canyon Vista parking... never parked there so you'll have to tell how to get there.
 
I'd also like to join in here. It's been two weeks since I've been out. Rob, keep this going so we know where to park and what time.

Dell, we will have to find somewhere to drink, Rob really enjoys beers after rides, they make him feel extremely good, however; Jack & Cokes are his drink of choice...

This should be a fun ride, I havent rode in two weeks myself, I'm still trying to shake this cold I have, so, hopefully I won't be dragging ass too hard.
 
Is 9 am cool with everyone at the Canyon Vistas entrance? Directions from the north is take the 73 south to Glenwood, right on Glenwood then right on Canyon Vistas (first light) to the bottom of the hill where the park is.

Post ride

Post-ride bev's/eats to be had at Stadium Brewing, Wahoo's, etc. in Aliso Viejo Town Center on Aliso Creek.

Or Del Taco and a 40 in the parking lot if you're on a budget

We had a nice group of 8 riders today @ Aliso. Nice to meet you Vondur, and good to see you back in the saddle again Aldo. Great group of guys, we took a lot of talk breaks which was cool.......everyone seemed to get along well. Wahoo's hit the spot after the ride too. Let's plan another ride soon!

Yeah it was a good ride. I was pretty burned out by the end. That was the longest I've ever ridden Aliso for. Rob, keep me posted on what you plan to do with the Foes.

Really enjoyed the ride today, guys. A good group, great trails, fish tacos and beer, the Chargers winning (another squeaker!)...doesn't get much better.

Definitely up for another one soon!
 
Thanks for the ride guys, it was cool putting faces to screenames here. I think I kept Matt waiting for me to climb mathis long enough for him to go to the top of the world and back before I made it up! Lets do some more rides!

That was a fun ride yesterday. It was cool to meet you VONDUR and it was great to have Aldo back in the saddle. I didnt mind the stoppage in between trails, as I was rather winded due to my cold. Good times with a great group of guys, Wahoo's was a great call for some post ride grubb.

ha ya, actually it was more a powerbar sesh for me!    but ya nice meeting ya MaTt :wave:   good times at aliso... I like parking at the Canyon Vista end, cuz the paves road gets kinda boring....
