I've got to stop hangin' with JSlow, cause just look at what I'm calling fun thesedays: #-o

We parked the cars on GMR near the bottom of Poop-Out. Basically, where you park to ride Monroe Truck Trail if you don't have an Adventure Pass.
After riding across Sierra Madre, we started climbing up 39. At Morris Reservoir, it seemed like picture time.

We got an early start as you can tell by the shade.

They had the spigot turned on, as you can see water in the river bed between the dams:

I doubt we'll be obeying this sign:

Right across the road from my bike here...

...is my favorite spot. Spongebath Falls:

    Cold but good:

I was in the mood for pancakes, but the kitchen still needs a little work:

Josh wants you to notice my rookie mark:

I like to look back on all the progress I've made:

If you look really hard, you can see the antennae on Mt Wilson in the background:

    End of the line:

Now, how do we get back?

Oh sh!t, the cars are at the bottom of GMR. Guess we'll have some more climbing to do!

    Good Times! :bang:

you forgot to tell them about the power slide you did to avoid the road hazard on the way down...

Josh brings up a good point. Even though the road is closed, there are still a few work vehicles, etc. You still have to share the road. I think one of the work vehicles lost sight of this fact. Regardless, I think "power slide" overstates things.

It still beats an open road...
