The data input spreadsheet will be re-opened this weekend. Those wishing to continue can post weight anytime from Saturday 9am - Monday 9pm. Weekly results will be posted in the Official 2012 Weight Loss Thread. A reminder message will be sent to all competitors towards the end of this week. Those who fail to post a weight will be taken OFF all future reminder messages (don't want to annoy those who no longer wish to participate).

Thanks so much Dino for taking over on this!!! One suggestion though, perhaps scale the weigh-ins to every other week or once a month?

Reasoning - the weekly weigh-ins were missed frequently even during the WLC, if we have less weigh-ins (but still consistent) they would be more exciting (and thus likely more "attended" and less ignored). Also, it's less work for you and jeff^d and might result all around in less burn out.

The important part is that we are checking in regularly and consistently.

I dunno just throwing it out there...

My original plan was to have participants weigh-in every other week.
A few people expressed concern that two weeks (between weigh-ins) might effect their motivation. Makes sense to me. ---> Anyone else care to chime-in?

(to repeat, I prefer every other week)

Every week is an easy habit to get into and since most everybody is doing it (for the most part) now, why change it up. I would not even bother with the PM reminders...instead just post it on the forum each week, this should be enough of a reminder for most. If someone does not post for more than 3-4 times then drop them.

Bump...weighing in at 119.5lbs by keeping up the same routine with a little more food and a little less exercise. Heading out for a 5 mile run right now.

Keep at it Steve...don't give up! You might want to think about a road bike and get some more good quality sustained high cadence miles in, and that will definiently help you loose some pounds.

Your a big dude Steve. Just keeping losing weight so I can wrestle you. LOL. For real, I can run much faster than you. Keep that in mind for motivation.

I'm terrified to ride on the road. That's the only thing stopping me from getting a road bike. Also, I would just ride the river trail but I don't want to get stabbed.

If I could catch you, I think you might have a problem.

    Thank you sir!

Hit the wall last night on the Fullerton Loop Tea Party ride and had to turn around. Hadn't felt like that since I started riding:< Thanks to Thomaswildchild and his encouraging words!! You really made feel a lot better!!! Guess I will have to take a few days off to get back to it again. Good News!!! I am over the hump & weighing in at 218:> Best weight I have had since I got married! I've gone from 264 to 218!!! My goal is to be at 200 before Christimas. This mtb riding really does work if you stick with it:)

There are routes you can ride that aren't too congested. Or, SART north from the Stadium on into Corona is a good ride.
