EVERYBODY NEEDS TO MAKE SURE THEY READ THE WHITE RULES/INFO SHEET IN THIER PACKET.

I DON'T WANT TO HEAR LATER THAT YOU DIDN'T KNOW....OR YOU WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF ANYTHING.

    Found it! Thanks!

Back on topic. This is VQ #2 for me. Going in this year with no training at all - just an occasional long ride here and there.

As long as cramps stay away, and the chicken is still warm when I finish, all will be good. Good luck all!

    How about Cliff Notes version?

O'Neill is not open at 5AM, so play on leaving your car at Blackstar, or have someone drop you off.

Check-in starts at 5:10. Once checked-in, you can't leave staging area.

    Cutoffs:
    9:30AM - Aid Station 1 - Bottom of Motorway (CC/VQ)
    11:30AM - Four Corners (CC/VQ)
12:00PM - Aid Station 2 - Holy Jim Parking Lot (VQ)
12:45 - Bottom of WHT (VQ)

Aid Station 2 bags - bring them with you to check-in. Leftovers will be thrown away.

    Lunch starts at 12.

Shuttles from Oneill start at 2 and go until everyone is taken care of.

Watch out for cars on fireroads.

Aid stations will have water, bananas, oranges, peanut butter crackers, fruit roll-ups and mini pretzels.

Thanks dubjay. Here's the full version. I don't have a scanner so i typed it. Here it is:

Check your emails & the Warriorsociety.org... they are full of detailed information regarding the event.

O'Neill Park is NOT open at 5:00 am so plan on leaving your care at Black Star or have someone drop you off at the start. Carpooling is recommended.

Check in will start at 5:10 am. Once checked in you will not be allowed to leave the staging area. This is a closed course event and only registered and support personnel will be allowed on course.

Event Starts promptly at 5:30 am with a mass start from the gate on Blackstar Canyon. SMALL COMMUTER LIGHT RECOMMENDED.

There are check-points along the course so you will be tracked as to your location on the race course throughout the day.

    Cutoff Times:

    Vision Quest
#1 9:30 Aid Station #1, bottom of Motorway
    #2 11:30 4 Corners
#3 12:00 Aid Station #2, Holy Jim parking lot
#4 12:45 Bottom of West Horse Thief

    Counting Coup
#1 9:30 Aid Station #1, bottom of Motorway
    #2 11:30 4 Corners

If you do not make the cutoff your plate will be removed and you will not be allowed to continue. You will be directed back down Maple Springs or Trabuco Creek Rd depending on which cutoff you missed.

AID STATION 2 BAGS - If you want to bring your own supplies to Aid Station 2, we must be able to throw away any left over contents and the bag they are in. All bags will be thrown away after the event. No Aid Station bags disposable or not, will be taken to Aid Station 1. Your Aid Station 2 bag must be dropped off at the check-in table at 5:10

Food and Water will ONLY BE PROVIDED AT Aid Station 1 & 2..
    .
that means you need to carry enough water and food to sustain you until you hit Aid Station 1 & 2. There will be water, bananas, oranges, peanut butter crackers, fruit roll-ups, and mini pretzels at Aid Stations.

Finish line is located at the end of Trabuco Creek Road and Trabuco Canyon Road. Look for cones and lots of cheering friends! You must cross the finish line with a number plate in order to have your time recorded.

All finishers will receive a finishing feather when they cross the finish line

After you finish you shouls plan on riding over to O'Neill to the Day Use area and that is where the El Pollo Loco lunch will be provided. Lunch will be available starting at 12:00pm

Shuttles will be provided starting at 2pm back to Blackstar until we get everyone back to their vehicles.

BE AWARE WHEN COMING DOWN THE DIRT FIRE ROAD FROM HOLY JIM TO FINISH LINE THAT ROAD IS OPEN TO TRAFFIC AND YOU WILL HAVE VEHICLES ON THE ROAD.

    A couple of questions:

    1. Will there be chain lube at the aid stations if we need it or should I carry some?
    2. Will there be bike medics at the aid stations in case of serious mechanical problems?
    3. Has the shuttle schedule for holy jim to west horsethief been posted? I want to make sure I don't miss that last cutoff. ;)

    1. Nope.....you are responsible for your bike. You break it and can't fix on your own....then you don't finish.

    2. Nope....see #1

    3. Sucks if you don't make it.

 I'll be one of the cars on Main Divide, following the last rider from Blackstar.

Good luck to everyone, this will be one hell of a great adventure! :)

Don't take this the wrong way, but can I grab on to your bumper?

(what the heck - take it any way you want  )

BTW: The info sheet says water, etc., will be available at the aid stations, which are the bottom of Motorway and at the Holy Jim lot. Can someone from Warriors clarify for everyone whether or not there will be water or any other supplies at the Four Corners checkpoint?
