that would make for some pretty large groups

27 was big enough for the 19-29 sport guys.

see you guys there again tonight!

Last week was a blast. I'll be there tonight!

Random thought of the moment: The floating bridge is stable and awesome, but what would happen if you went over? You'd need to keep your composure and unclip before the bike sinks and you drown. I think my natural reaction would be to save my bike and somehow swim while clipped in. I am the captain, and I'm going down with my ship!

27? Not sure, but at 46 years old, I think I'd be in the sport 3? They had 51 riders in it.

Definitely unclip!! I don't think it's that deep, more likely is you should worrry about hitting something under the water and not be able to unclip once you're down. Most of us remember the one time we fell on the side of a trail still tied to the bike. Imagine that feeling while under water.

My guess is the 1/2 lap will be from starting the direction the last 2 races started to spread people out a bit. Then two full laps once you come back by the start area.

I'd agree..I don't think a mass-start through the boat storage would be a good idea...once the lake recedes another few feet, the bench that we raced on last year would be a good, wide, starting run-out before the inevitable chokepoint of the singletrack.

I'll be there. See you all out there! :)

Stop by our booth (Silversage Advisors) and guess the number of jelly beans in the piggy bank. Closest guess wins a $25 gift card to The PATH.

    Amazing Family Night!

Thanks to everyone who came out. We had some solid racing (and a lot of smiles) in the kids race. Tons of kids (and big kids) toured the bounce house. Our goal for OTH, from the beginning, was to make it a place the whole family could have fun. It put a smile on our face watching everyone enjoy the evening together.

KIDS RACE- We loved the kids race, and we will do it every week, if we have parents that can help us out. We have to go into "full race mode" the minute they finish, so it's tough for us to manage the results, and the prizes, because we are starting and scoring the main race. We only need a handful of parents to make this happen (course sweep, scoring, directing, and prizes). We're happy to comp the kids entry fee for those parents helping. If you can help, please email [email protected] Thanks to Jamie Nye for doing the course sweep this week, we appreciated it

    Kids Race results are here

Some exciting racing for the pros

Each week the Pro/Expert races inspire some younger, older and less experienced riders, this week was no different. The Pro race has been very competitive, all season, coming down to the last lap or sprint.[/FONT]
David Santos (Steven K Sports & current pts leader), and Jason Siegle (Bike Religion) have been slugging it out, and are within 1 point in the series standings after 4 races, and June 15 the heat turned up just a little bit…the battle at the lake Tuesday night had the top 5 pros finishing within a minute. On the back 1/3 of a mile Manny Prado (SHOAir) and Costa Rican National Champion, just back from Costa Rica, put the hammer down starting the sprint between he and Santos, which was decided by 6 inches at the line. Prado edged out Santos by a nose, setting the stage for June 22nd's Pro Battle.

Come see the race for yourself.

I had seen that too and I don't think it's right. If it is, his average lap time was about 30 seconds faster than Manny - the pro winner.
