Yeah, anyone can do it two laps. And by the end of the summer you'll be strong....and fast! it's a good combo of fire roads, varied elevations through the course (rather than one gnarly climb, it's broken into a couple climbs and rollers).

Last year 3 girls, 9, 11, 12 yrs old raced and finished (and so did pros Sid Taberlay, Manny Prado, Tonya Bray, and Johnny O'Mara). It's a great short course for everyone. Check out the girls' story http://overthehumpseries.com/photos/oc-register-covers-3-dulac-girls-by-david-whiting/

    See you at the races!

This is a great event for the whole family!

Come out to race or cheer, either way you will have a great time! Who knew you could have so much fun on a weeknight, makes the week fly by.

Also, don't forget to swing by the Silversage Advisors booth to say hello and enter our contest. The person each week who comes closest to guessing the correct number of jelly beans in the piggy bank will win a $25 gift card to The PATH Bike Shop.

See you at the races! :)

Online registration closes at 7pm tonight. Sounds like there will be some space for race day sign-ups.

I'm in Sport 2 I think it was. 3 laps should pretty much kick my butt. Haven't raced since March of 2008. My only problem now is that I registered on a computer with no software for my printer #-oand I've not recieved an email to print out my receipt on the computer I do have a printer hooked up to.

hmmm any idea if this is going to be a problem if the email doesn't show up? I'm hoping things work out cuz I'm looking forward to this.

I've got 540 road miles in my legs in the last 3 months. This should be fun and a nice test of my physical fitness.:bang:

I got my race bike all preped last night. It was a big choice to leave the SS at home today. But after last year, I realize, this is no course for a SS.

I'm willing to bet I'll have the oldest MTB on the trail tonite.
Pre-canteliver brakes, 6 gears of furry in the rear, and all of the reflectors for saftey.

First Race is in the books!

Wow! What a a great race.

Thank you to everyone that came out. There was some great racing in all of the categories. It was great to be back at the lake, and we're stoked for the season. We enjoyed seeing everyone again.

    The results are here: http://overthehumpseries.com/race-info/results/

    A couple of notes:
    • There was a little confusion on the leg marks so we will be changing this for the next race.
    • The water truck will run an additional time to tame the dust.
Tuesday June 1we'll run the same course as this week.

    Variations on June 8.

I have a bud that races expert >45 (not sure what exact age range is).
He mentioned it was silly to just group all the experts in one bucket regardless of age. He wants to compete, but in a level field.

Think they will use age groupings in the future at OTB or is it too much work for a "fun" race.

If anything, I wish they would do away with the sub-categories by age. I can understand juniors racing, but 18+ should be just by experience/ability.
