oh, I had fun too but I also had some input. Nothings perfect, ever. It was also just my opinion; biased I admit.
And I also didn't have that big a problem do to the lack of single track and abundance of fire road but I do know that Mt. Sac would be a disaster with that first single track section if we started at the back again behind the girls.
Oh and we were told right here in this thread by the race director that there will be 3 laps and the change will be announced at the starting line.

IMHO it get old and tired when I have to get off and run up hills because people with gears will just sit there and spin in granny gear going uphill. They go so slow I pass then walking. It is pretty sad.

Hey Heath, didn't see that being I'm as green as can be to this(just found/signed up this site today) I was hoping to find some results as I did not get recognized at finish or at least on the results anyway. I was on an old orange steel Kona 26" V braked dinasaur(wait, it's me that's a dinasaur). I know many of us rode back and forth yesterday. If you were one of 'em, thanks for the fun and hard work !

Hey Heith, my apoligies for telling you that ss would change to 3 laps. when i told the committe about changing it, they said it would cause problems at the start if someone signed up for 2 and then was forced to do 3. especially since it was posted as 2 laps, so i was bound by that. mt.sac is 3 laps for ss. i hope you come out for that one. thanks for your feed back. it helps for next year.

I ended up winning beginner 19-26 by 10 minutes. I was kind of nervous due to the fact that the 3 other guys in my class ride the course a lot and i was worried id get dropped due to the kids smack talk in the staging area but got out there rode my race and pulled away.such a cool event.

You were definitely fast, my little brother came in second. Was his first race and he was confused when we all started out together, I think he sat at the start line for like four minutes or so. Congrats on a well deserved win!

I never miss Mt. Sac...Ben is a good guy and his trophies are always the best :). I also enjoy the atmosphere at Mt. Sac over just about any other race of the year.

Yeah I remember you. Did you say that bike was borrowed too? you came on really strong on the second half of the race, good job. I still haven't seen the results either

My connection right now is having a terrible time trying to download all of the pictures so I can't see all of them, buuut, any chance you've got one of a guy in full Team Duke kit? I didn't even finish a full lap so I'm not expecting many.
