There are burgers served there, but don't expect water, cytomax, gel or bars like they'll have at aid station 1 and 2.

Am I to understand I'll need to bring the Chimay myself?

I'll take my burger medium-rare with blue cheese, arugula and a caramelized onion compote on a toasted french roll with a side of sweet potato fries. Pickup time should be around 12:30, keep it warm if I'm running late, k thanks.

Get there early so you have time to stand in line, get warmed up and do your pre-race ritual and not have to rush to the start line.

Registration starts at 4:30am and ends at 5am.

Good weather news: Santiago and Sierra peak cams are looking good, and it doesn't look like much chance of rain or snow tonight. The Sierra Peak report is only showing .07" of rain for the month, so I'm guessing Blackstar is pretty dry and fast.

Now if I can just remember how to ride a bike.....#-o

Is this JRM formerly of CSULB Geography?

If so, are you doing VQ or CC? We will have to make sure to meet up. I haven't seen you in years.

    just a thought...

Its going to be a beautiful day...I can feel it. Not sure it will top last year with the climbing out of the clouds, but I think its going to be real nice.

    Probably some pollen and bugs.

First Time Riders: Good luck ...its just another ride...and don't go out too fast...be safe...have fun..it may be warm so drink enough :)

To all of us that have done it (CC for me) a couple times .... pretty much the same thing

    see ya out there #344

We went up Holy Jim to the Peak over the weekend. There was snow in a few spots, maybe a total of 100+ yds. What snow is there should only add a few minutes to everyone's times.
