Our plan is to be out there early on Sat morning. Traci, what time are you racing? I assume that we'll be able to find your bday party camp site ;)

The Sport/Beginner DH race starts at 11:45, I'm usually the 2nd to last group to go, so i'm guessing 45 mins to and hr later than that (all depending on how many are racing).

You should not have any problem finding our campsite #-o

I just read 8 pages and my eyes hurt. The one and only beg/sport dh race on sat is the cal state and national race together? If you cant get the day off on fri all you get is 2 hr practice and then a race run on sat?
We ride simple machines that have been unchanged for about 100 years yet all this XC, 4x, DH talk cant be divided into it's own threads?:?:
Trying to figure all this out makes me not want to race but I WANT TO RACE!

Its not that hard, there are four events two are national events (XC and SD) and two events are Cal State (DH and 4x). There is NO national race in Fontana for DH or 4x.

Hit some xc dirt out there today (they've almost finished fencing off the old course) Donny said he didn't mind if I posted some shots of the new 4X sections so I'll do that later. They hope to finish by tomorrow I'll be riding 4x Wednesday, too. I'm sure it's been mentioned but no license needed for DH or 4X. DH will be taped by Thursday.

    New 4X section photos

    http://s159.photobucket.com/albums/t149/quixote2001/4x%20track/

EC did most of the dirt moving yesterday so today they were out there with water and tools getting things "molded" while EC moved dirt in the middle section. Tomorrow they should have the area up top done so these pics are only the lower area. I'll take more tomorrow hoping to get some 4x runs in with Brittany when done and a few DH runs.

So is that out of the first right as you come to the bottom?

If so will it be that straight into the big berm left over a double the a right and then over the jump finish?

Right.....I had the little camera but will try to get better pics tomorrow. BTW they almost had the back (old) xc section completely blocked by a huge ass 10' fence . They still needed to put in the last sections cutting across the fireroads so I was still able to ride it. I'm told it's ok to ride but not race? It was pretty windy out there today....
