Heads up! The course has changed.

The back of the course is no more. (Gated.) The old climb (Ladder) at the start is reinstated.....

Should be interesting, it's in horrible condition. News was given from a reliable source.

    Cheers,

    C.K.

If you just go to the US Cup website they have links to the xc routes on geoladders. Cat 1 and Pro are doing the new climb (or old depending on how you look at it), Cat 2 and 3 are going up the paved road like always. No one does the backside of the course and unfortunately that looks like it's going to be that way from now on. If anyone has any different info please share. Thanks.

Wow, gonna be a interesting course..... clogged up singletrack after the watertower and balls-out fast along the fence line to the finish. Gonna be fun! Now the question is what class to run in....

I doubt they will this week due to limited amount of practice time.

Normally they allow it on Sat when race is sun but this is a different situation.

Better riders ride Sun but you will probably see more crashes on sat.

That's what I got as well. I just wasn't sure where the turn around at the new fence was going to be going back along the wall. There's a really chewed up and loose left hander before the fence that looks like it's what's going to be used. I OTB'd it on lap one Tuesday it was so horrible.

I'll have them up in a few but yea some of the new stuff either go fast and jump it or slow down cause the jumps have sharp lips hard to roll. TrojanInsomniac and myself were there all afternoon DH and some 4X. Brian Lopes was hanging out and a pro practicing blew a tire that sounded like a gunshot on the last jump of 4X was insane. No joke sounded like a loud shotgun blast !! As we left DH several including Donny and Lopes were scoping out the DH. I'll be there tomorrow just riding DH.

Looks like if your not a jumper your going to have to really have to work to have a chance. Did the lip change make the top double easier or harder in your opinion.

Easier to roll I can't hit the doubles so not sure if you're going to be jumping it?

Normally it wont be a problem but this a busier weekend. Just come out another weekend when some of us are there and we can show you all the older courses. Only thing is you have to hike the road.

bleh. looks like I'm just gonna skip on racing again. shoulder's better, but I still don't have much pull, and I really don't want to crash and hit any of those scabs on anything...

that, and my new helmet etc. won't be here in time either.

I guess I'll be out taking pictures again though...

I am going to show up tomorrow for practice and see how things go. I rode around and could jump around with manageable amount of pain. I am hoping if I can get someone to help wrap my shoulder that would make it even better.

I mean, sure I can pull well enough, but I'd rather not have something get tweaked, mess up, and then open up all the gouges on my back crashing into a rock garden...

    we'll see though.

BTW, nobody answered my question, can I still register on saturday if I so choose? I can live with 2 hours of practice the day of the race :?:

I was there today, The 4X track looks GOOD.

Donny showed up as I was leaving, they were just getting ready to set up the DH courses.

Bumped into Mario - he said the Cat 1 XC course was going to be a tuff one 4x's around with a climb that'll sort it all out.

It's already getting pretty busy - vendors were setting up, lots of XC preriders and plenty of campers.

It's going to be a fantastic weekend. See everyone out there!!!
