If Neil comes out he IS NOT racing beginner #-oIf he does EVERYONE can call him the ultimate sandbagger!!!

Not sure what he's racing yet, I think he's leaning towards SS.

(Carl hope to see you out there sandbagger ;) beginner - lol )

You would be surprised, they are just as competitive as others. There are a bunch of big guys that are faster than the skinny guys (if that makes sense) :). Never the less, just go out an have fun!

I'm just a tad over 200 but have a hard time catching the bigger boys .

Does anyone know how much the raffle tickets are? If I can't win the race, maybe I can win something in the raffle. :)

    Bottle or CamelBak

Just signed up for the race. Are most of you guys/gals using a camelbak or just water bottles?

In the higher classes, they'll probably be using bottles. But in Beginner where I'll be racing, I expect to see it all--even tennis shoes.

If you are new to racing, it's probably best to gear up how you feel comfortable. I'll be using a Camelbak, platform pedals, and a 6-inch bike. That's probably not recommended, but it's how I'm rolling. :)

I've never even seen a race and was going to go just to cheer you guys/gals on, but after reading about about how fun this race is, I've decided to give it a try. Woo-hoo. Good luck to all.

Same here. I just got into mountain biking and have never seen a MTB race either. I am just hoping I could finish the race without crashing!

Mikey, you are my friend:bang: and I would not do that to you..but the others are all fair game:lol:
Pretty interesting with a "open" SS class, I would think it would be extremely competitive and pretty fast#-o

The STR EZ-ups will be there!

They are at our cabin in my camper but my dad is going up to get them on Sat.
