It's about 30 lbs. Not exactly light, but it does climb well and doesn't feel heavy. 5" travel - Fox Talas RLC & RP23, Sram X-9 shifters. Send me a PM if you're interested-

I'm sorry, I know I already asked you a loooong time ago but I forgot: how did you come up with your screen name? It's my last name and I've never come across anyone with the same spelling.

Back on topic: I'll be there racing SS.

What gear ratio are you going to run?

Well rather than let my ego affect what I post on the board here, I'm going with the usual 36:16 that I've grown accustomed to. :p NOT!

Actually, I've gotten so used to 32:20 that I will probably just stick with it. It'll seem a little easy the first lap. The second lap it'll feel just right. On the third lap I'll be thanking my lucky stars I didn't let my ego get the better of me.

Like a good friend of mine always says, "It doesn't matter what gear ratio you pick, it will be the wrong one for 99% of the race."

He won the overall in the SS class up at Rim Nordic this year running a lower gear than most.

The S/N has been around for a LONG time. Its from back when I wanted to look at neked ladies on the internet but my mom had a parental block on. So I made a S/N to "look" like the word "Guest" (used to use AOL). I just kept it out of not wanting to memorize a new S/N.

Awww Vince, go fer it. Bust a knee and go with 32:16.

I've been the last 8 years in a row now. Why mess with tradition?

I won't be racing, just heckling the other racers. Last year was so much fun cutting the course and catching riders who had stayed on course then sprinting by them all the time yelling derogatory remarks, like is that all you got? You know this is a race, don't you? My grandma rides faster then this and she's been dead over 10 years. Plus when I get tired I just stop and watch as the continuing parade of pain goes by.

    Yeah, I'll be there.

I remember i asked you if you had water, and you were like nope! sorry.
FUnny thing is, i could have sworn you were wearing a camelback.:lol:
Anyways, it was cool to hear a few people say GO BFLO! when i dismounted and sprinted up that last climb where it bottlenecked. :bang:

Yeah, seeing you run up that steep hill was a highlight. All the people were dying and you went running uphill by them. If you'd seen the looks on some of their faces, you wouldn't have believed it.

I caught the group that started 5 minutes before me. :bang:
Ahh, i still remember it freshly, my first XC Win. started in the frint, took off on the start, and never looked back, head forward and pedal to the metal :)

I have a family commitment and will not be able to make the race.
I've signed up and would hate to see my $ go to waste.

If anyone out there wants it let me know. I'm sure the people at the registration desk won't mind.

You can email me at [email protected]
