well...a couple of us are planning on doing a night ride out there tomorrow night. as for the weekend....if everything else is cancelled, either sat. or sun. works for me. say around 8am.

if the smoke keeps clearing out westward, i will post a ride up tomorrow or friday.

 

I may be up for Sunday depending on the knee

rode the course tonight...will be riding again next thursday night for the final brush up.

the third or fourth time up calf burner is going to be BRUTAL!!

 

lukewiens - 4 person team here. we're going in in good shape but completely blind to the course. do you have a garmin file i can upload of the course? i see it on goeladders, but the date is for the 18th.. so i'm suspect of this route...

 

yeah...i was with allison when she made this route. it is 99% correct....they changed one section before calf burner a couple weeks ago. the course is fully marked right now if you head out. i am sure the place will be loaded with riders this weekend.

I was in it with a team But I am out with Knee issues...

 

I'm in. 4-person team with LoisMustDie from STR and a couple of buds(ette). Team name is "The Usual Dustpects."

I'm riding Solo Master 40+. I'll be riding a Silver Titus Racer-X, when you pass me say something encouraging.

How do the other solo racers stage food/water so that you don't have to ride to your vehicle in between laps? Or is the parking lot close enough to the course that it doesn't matter?

 

I just can't see myself riding around that course in the freekin cold of a Nov night. I did it once in April and it hit 34 degrees out there. I'm a wimp, I'll wait for the sun. But you all have fun,lol.

 

ibclimbn - no idea on the course set up/parking lot area... i'm not sure where we'll set up our 10x10 but if its close u can stash some stuff there... we have a 4 person team so there will always be someone there to help too.

 

We'll be there too racing solo

Usually the solo racers set up on the race course at the finish (it is 1st come 1st serve but we're camping Friday & Sat night to be sure and get a spot on the course), that way you don't have to run back to your car. We bring a few easy-ups and make that base camp for whoever needs it.

The Hubby (1x1clyde) is racing solo also, we'll make room if you need it, there will be me and several other people running support for the solo racers we know that need it - so stop by and settle in! :wave:
