anyone know if the course has been layed out yet? anyone ridden it, and if so, do you have a garmen file of the course? never ridden out there and we'd like to check it out.
who else is going and what class are you in (2 man, 3 person mixed, 4 person, etc...)

they have a posted image of the course on their website but the dang flags make it pretty confusing.

    MAP

from what i can tell it looks similar to the xterra course with probably the two singletrack additions from last race.

i've covered it all out there if anyone is interested in a preride...it's in my backyard.

with a couple of laps you could have enough course knowledge to take whatever they throw at you on race day.

ps. i will be out, 2 man....should be a blast.

    You are correct, i think:?:
Check on MTBR under the Endurance racing forum, there is a bit of info there along with Jason's site at:
    http://www.12hrsoftemecula.com/

I'm going to start pre-riding it mid-october if you want to go check it out then.

Most of the trails for the races are similar or go back and forth. Print up a few routes from http://www.geoladders.com and ride them. It'll be close enough!

Willie will be out there rolling in the Men's Junior Solo Category.

I will more than likely roll in Men's Master 40+ like I did in June (my last ride in 40+ as I will move on to the 50+ category next year... damn!).

I've told some buds about it and they are all stoked to come down and see what the race is all about. Some haven't been on their MTBs in a while, but they ride a lot so their legs should be good for the day at the least. We may form a team out of it, so stay tuned.

    Looking forward to it again!

    See you out there.

Fires aren't near the course. I imagine today it is really smoky out there, though.

the winery is pretty close the course out here...we can see the flames cresting the hill to south east of us from the fallbrook fire.

the wind is blowing westward so none of the smoke is reaching us, and from what i can see the smoke isn't over vail lake either.

i think as long as the wind continues westward the course's air quality should stay reletively good.
