Ride Report 12 Hours of Temecula

shudder, great shots man,

Big thanks to you for taking the time to sort, edit and post all those photos.

Awsome Shots. we need to go shooting sometime.

Congratulations to all that raced and also to those that supported the riders. You guys are hardcore. Especially Alison, I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting her, but she is in the top of my cool people list. Alison keep it up

Mike great pics and RR. And that goes for everyone who took the time to report. I had a great time and man once again truely inspiring watching troy stevie and jason kill it out there. Neil well he kills it always. Allison though I dont really know you great job your an animal and one of the few who looked calm and collected all race no matter how hot it was. Hell i went home wanting to race now....did i just say that out loud. shiat. looks like i am going to have to stop with the heaters now. damn you boats. Thank you to Neil and Traci for all that they do to make sure we all have fun and eat well. Thanks to tobi and maddie for keeping me entertained as well as mr monkey butt Willie it was so funny watching him hobble around after the race. Great job to all those who competed and Traci you are amazing for knowing what to say to motivate everyone you are the best pit mom ever.

Regarding Monkey Butt, et al

Fortunately the monkeybuttness has left him alone as of now. He swears he will never make that mistake again... until next time, of course. :?:

That's a good thing as he is playing at the Whisky in Hollywood tonight with his band (Woot!). It might have been slightly embarrassing to be waddling around the stage all night...

Poor kid. I definitely know how much that stuff hurts. Ah, well -- he's 12, and sometimes you pay that price when you're young. I still dig that he just gets out there and rides. I can't imagine how well he'd do if he trained at all. Maybe we'll get to that later on.

Thanks for the good words, Dave.

A bit OT to your original topic, Sean (*sorry*, but I just hadda reply to Jason!)

Playing Rage's Killing In The Name onstage tonight in this pic (from my iPhone -- I had a vid-cam, but they wouldn't let me shoot with it -- money grubbin' bastids -- they wanted $25 for me to shoot with the vid!!! -- F that! I didn't have the Nikon with me as I'd expected to shoot vid only for my wife to see since she's outta town, so the iPhone had to make do in a pinch...).

Wow! You are obviously a proud papa. That's one uniquely talented kid.

I saw him out on the course mid-day near the top of the Dam Climb. He was standing off to the side with his head hung low over his toptube so I asked how he was doing. He mumbled something incoherent, but that was probably how I received it and not how it was delivered. (I tend to get that way in the heat)

Each lap I put an extra H2O bottle with ice water on my bike for cooling down. I offered to pour some on his neck but he said "I'm good", saddled up and got rolling again. All I could think was 'that is one tough kid...'

Fortunately the monkeybuttness has left him alone as of now. He swears he will never make that mistake again... until next time, of course. :?:

Hey now, lets keep this on topic!

Love the pics, shudder! :)
ROTFLMFAO!!!

You took the words right out of my mouth with that edit. Thanks for clarifying and getting this thread back on track.

I apologize to everyone for allowing Fo to drag me into the gutter with him.

Shud, awesome pics! Looking forward to finally meeting you in a couple weeks at the Vintage Happening.

Is there a way to get the route on the ladder list? It doesn't show up on the route drop-down menu.
