Hahaha Brewmaster! Neil and I were talking about this very thing on Saturday!

Neil, I'll sport one on lap 1 for November if you do. With Dickies shorts too.

    Sometimes less is more...

RRs can sometimes be tedious to write and sometimes tedious to read. I really enjoyed your pictures and I don't think anyone can argue with the final results. Congratulations on a huge accomplishment.

I was taking video. The longest segment won't d/l to my computer. The other two.. the 1st is okay during the parade lap, but I kept looking down.

Camera was pointed a hair or two down too much, so it's a lot of looking at the ground in front of me and not much else...

Hmm, I saw at least 3 Go Pros out there Saturday. One guy on a team had one mounted above his rear wheel pointed backwards. We were on out and back headed to the BMX section of the course when he passed and asked me to smile for the camera. I was on lap 4 or 5 feeling like dog azz. I'd like to see the video of that.

RR's can be tedious to write, as well as cooridinating the pictures with the story being told. with that said, im grateful that some people take the time to write them, long or short, lets be grateful that they take the time to do them.

text books are tedious to read imho, RR's are not.

Keep the RRs coming everyone! I love 'em! It gives me ideas about where I want to ride at a later date.

Afterall, I (and many of you) pay money for MTB magazines that have RRs that aren't nearly as good as the coverage we get here. Plus, I can ask the author questions, something that is hard to do with a magazine article.

    BIG Photo Post #1

Okay, Sean. Adding to this very long RR with some pics and story from the day...

It was great to see so many STR faces down there at the races this past weekend, and still I didn't meet everyone who was signed up (and yeah, that's me with my cam in m210's post on page 1). I tried to shoot as many of you as I knew, and was mostly successful. Somehow or another it seemed that lukewiens was waiting around every corner -- man, I got a lot of shots of him (and we still haven't actually met!).

Jason and Heather Ranoa put on their biggest race yet. The change of venue down poolside was brilliant. What a lifesaver (literally) it turned out to be.

Dez from SoBe/Cannondale won the Solo race with 12 laps. I was quite chuffed with his performance as it looked to me like he was the only rider riding a C'dale with a Lefty (I ride a RUSH 1000 with a Lefty, and dig it!!). The only thing I am missing from my rig, apparently, is a giraffe head...

Dez out on the final bit of ST
    [IMG]

Mario (mp3) cookin' down the freshly ground up ruts
    [IMG]

My boy, Willie rolled his first race for Pua Sawicki's Team Mata Keiki. That black uniform was HOT, in more ways than one...

I just realized that I have way too many pics to approach this in a timeline manner (and to get to work this morning without being too late!), so I am going to now proceed with them in no particular order. You'll figure it out, I think...

lukewiens happy to be in yet ANOTHER pitcher

Not EVERYONE was happy. Our Wrench Dave, appearing to be taking out the trash
    [IMG]

Trizz also looking happy before the heat (and the race) set in

Great looking shots Shudder! You've got talent, your photo of me also picked up my disc brake rotor brand on my leg, and the duct tape I had covering the hole in my shoes. That's how I roll..

    You rock dude.

On Sunday morning after wwe packed up camp, I took Toby out the course and up the Dam Climb. This was my first time on my bike since Hurkey Creek. Arm still hurts for sure, but is definitely on the mend.
