I don't race solo so this may not help you but I train about 5 hours a week for the 4 man category.

    Training???

I would say put more emphasis on quality miles than worry about hours. If you can do two or three solid 30 mile loops lets say Aliso from lower parking lot at the church:
Climb dripping cave, climb mathis, cruise west ridge to rocket - descend, roll coyote run to wood cyn rd up to cholla - climb, roll to lynx decsend roll down to dripping cave and start over again. Party this two or three times per week building the number of laps then on the weekend roll a long road 60 - 100 miles easy or head out to blackstar and go up to the top of Saddleback and down holy jim (pretty much the Counting Coup route). That should put you in a good position to suffer with the middle to top of the pack soloists in the beginner/sport class. Hope this helps. It made me sweat just typing it:bang:.

Since the Rim Nordic series I've gained 12 pounds, went on a cruise to Meheeco, and can't seem to pass up on pie and ice cream. But I do ride 2-3 times a week if that's what you want to call it. lately we've been warming up, going hard for about 2-3min pulls then the ride turns into a 1 hour BS session. At this point I'm thinking it would be easier to just gain the ten pounds and race clydes rather than actually train hard and diet next year. I'm hoping 12h will be the beginning of the new season, kinda like hell week.

I ride about 2 minutes down to the grocery store and back. The training part about it is the 2 minutes back. ALL UPHILL! carrying about 15 pounds in food (read: ice cream and candy). I have gotten super strong!

My plan is to run off of sugar for the race. First time solo, so I have no goals or expectations for myself.

My first time solo too and basically plan to run off my race diet which is Monster energy drink and donuts. Oh and lucky charms for breakfast. I want to at least knock off 10 laps on my SS

    Hey Solo peeps,
Just wanted to give an invite out.
I'll have my motorhome out there early (6am)Sat. Morning. if you need a place to set up shop or rest after a few laps, your more than welcome to hang out.
I'll have a couple tables set up for tools and room for coolers.

That's awesome of you. I'm planning to wake up right around 6AM and should need to clear the system by 6:30AM, so your timing is just perfect.

What site are you in anyways? I have spots 230 and 231 booked.

    beer at the BMX pit

The BMX Mulisha pit will have a keg so stop by for awhile.
Unfortunately, our first choice of PBR wasn't available  so it'll be one of these: Guinness, Fat Tire or Sierra Nevada Pale Ale.

As long as you don't eat at Chipolte tonight.
I'll make sure to dump my holding tank in site 230 or 231.

I'm just coming out for the day, so not sure I'm getting a camping site. Just find a good close spot to the course.

I think you better hand out wrist bands with time limits attached.
"Awhile" is a very broad stroke with this group.
