I'll be camping, but more importantly, where are the pre-race festivities held?? I heard something about a band. Is this a camp fire jam, or inside snow valley lodge?? I promise not to sing along :)

Yesterday I was preriding the course and on my third lap I rode up on a mountain lion on the lower fireroad. It was young, I would guess it to be 30 lbs. or so. It was cool to see but wanted nothing to do with me. It ran down the road then disappeared. The guy behind me saw it as well.

Too bad I didn't see it on the climb up. It would have made me push a little harder.

I’m not too proud  to tell you all that I run 32-22 on my 29er up there, but I’m probably not as strong as the rest of you and don’t really race much.

I say go with a 21t at the least. You'll spin out on the upper fire road with a 22t.
Just think how fresh you'll feel at 5pm not pushing the 19t all day.
Then, If your feeling good, have Mr.SARBOATS change it back to the 19t to kill it on the last 2 laps.

^^In that regard, what is the policy on thunderstorms?

Rain...well, I know we keep riding.

Thunder/lightning...we all get pulled off the course?

C'mon crappy weather.....Michael, remember the Nov? race a year back? Mini floods in the flats, the Dam climb had a river running down it and it was raining sideways...ahh the good ole days:lol:!
That was some true "endurance" racing.

Good luck and have fun to all! :)
Personally, I think you're all a scary bunch, but that's just my opinion ;)
Should be a great race, as all the riders I've seen who have signed up are awesome & strong riders.
