You mean... I might actually pass someone in this race?!?!?!

    Naw...

I only walked up that one final section of the initial climbs up to the fire road last weekend after I'd blown through whatever my legs had in them on the first part of the loop (me on a fully geared bike, of course), but I am thinking I will need to 'save' something for the multiple laps I hope to put down. Meaning, I will more than likely be crawling up some of those steeps with you. :bang:

The day I run a 21t or 22t -aka receiving Direct TV on my bike- on my 29er, its time to get some gears:lol::lol:
I ran 32x19 on the Spider 29er and it was perfect in the beginning and the flowy sections but man oh man was I sniveling like a little baby on my way to the fireroad...you might have heard me cursing you out Jason:lol:!

    Lights

Mandatory lights will be 6:30 pm. We will have a lot of daylight on Saturday. Suppose to stay light until 7:30 or 8. But if it is overcast or whatever mandatory lights will be 6:30. But I will be staying out at the course from weds till Sunday. I will see what it is like for sure and make the call on site!

By the Neil u are my hero! I expect at least 8 laps:bang:!!!!

Hey Garrett (what happened to maxxisracing?...) --

Willie will not be rolling in this race, though he is actually signed up (I guess he'll be a DNF). He broke his left clavicle about five weeks ago playing lacrosse, so I had to drop him from a bunch of XC races, this one included. He is seeing his doc for a final time this Thursday, but I think a race on Saturday would not be the right thing for him, even if he gets the green light (he's had ZERO time on the bike for five weeks).

BTW, good to see you back on the bike after the fall at Warner Springs Ranch. You were missed in the final SoCal MTB League races.

I'm riding solo and will bring my 29er SS as a backup to my geared bike and so I can mix it up a bike. What is the recommendation for gearing for this course. Thanks for the input. :?:

Opps, meant to say "mix it up a bit"

Some of my team members are interested in camping. Where is everyone camping? I thought I saw a camp site a few miles back when I drove up.

Does anyone know if camping in the Snow Valley parking lot is allowed?
