That Catalina ride...you up for doing that again? I would love to ride/film the experience and add it to a collection of STR rides for a film school project DVD available later on this year.

That sounds awesome! Adding that to the list of "must rides"

TY for your pics on the "Trail Critter" thread! Outstanding pics! What is the location? Is this out on the islands?

oh, and BTW the ride was AWESOME!! My legs need the day off tomorrow - maybe ;)... but I need to get caught up on my 'work' and taking down the Christmas stuff at some time.

Give my best to Beth and Peter - Happy New Year!

Yep - I was going to call you this morning and ask about where to ride at El Moro - got a great tour from an STR guy I had not met yet. 80% 'un-official' but not marked, and there we're hikers out too. Phil wanted to ride, as this was his last day off.

I'm always hesitant to ride with new people - don't want to slow them down too much. Swearing that I'm going to keep consistent with my riding this year. I'm hoping for a Santa Cruz Nomad under the tree next year.

May hit you up for some build assistance/suggestions.

Holler anytime you're in the mood for a really 'slow' day ;)

No - nothing serious that's for sure, climbing sucks - only go up....to go down :)

We shuttled San Juan (from Blue Jay Camp ground) on Saturday, and then drug Clyde out there on Monday. Phil and I have been trying to get someone to take us for a long time - always flaking, so I bought a Garmin and use geoladders.

Just always looking for new places to ride. I can't believe you went UP San Juan - Clyde ran into a guy from his small group on our way down to the parking lot. Clyde is more out of shape than me - took way longer on Monday.

I keep traveling or getting too busy with work....ride consistently for a few weeks, month or so, then something always comes up and keeps me off the bike for another month and I have to start all over.

I bought lights so I could at least get in with a crowd for the luge at night during the winter. I could ride with you as long as I can ride Peter's trailer ;)

      Hey John,

Do you know anyone or have any idea to what San Juan (down only) would be like after this weather? We were going to shuttle this morning - but have pushed the group back to tomorrow morning - still not sure if it will be okay. Maybe we should wait til Saturday/Sunday (maybe that might be worse after other traffic?) thoughts??

Also - if we were to ride tomorrow or this weekend (they close Aliso and Whiting) where would be good to go?

      Any advice would be great!
