Always a favorite of mine and this morning in light rain it was delightful. Flowers blooming nice in some areas but no water flowing. But DANG.....the poison oak, whew, quite present from foot to face, especially when overhanging the trail with water.
Probably been two/three years since I had to lather up with Technu before taking a cool shower.
Nice to have cool moist weather.

Just out there this weekend. In spite of copious amounts of PO, it still remains my favorite in OC. Just remember to have Tecnu waiting in the car for some liberal post-ride dousing.

Super duper, probably didn't encounter another rider all morning too. Thanks for the update and post. The heat is a coming....boo-hoo.

With so many trails to ride I just do not do PO trails. On the lighter side our local tack shop has another brand of PO soap, they swear by it
Happy dodging 3 lobbed oak leaves on the side of the trail, trails

If you know that you have touched the evil plant I recommend showering with a heavy detergent such as Tide. The heavy detergent breaks down the oil and has been 100% effective with me. But you can only do this when you get back, any delay is not good.

On another note: if others in the household get poison oak it is contagious and they can share the rash for over one week. So I always suggest a preventive Tech-Nu treatment once they start to complain about "Weird skin lesions that are not poison oak". Some people are just hard to convince
