Yep its that time of year so I am going there afterwork to see what is blooming. I will ride to the Palo saddle and down pipeline if I get there early enough, if not then a quick 20 minutes down the canyon. There will not be many out after sunset so you can really scream the Cheese in the twilight.

Change of plans: got off work 80 minutes before sunset so I headed to a nearby trailhead "Chumash" Did the one hour climb and the 14 minute return to civilization. Passed two big Rattlers about a mile apart. Trail was pretty much empty, no other bikes. Chumash is a nice trail since it is 99% singletrac, it also climbs 95% of the time so it is a tough time, 1550 ft, 2.7 miles. It starts from the street in a climb so that is your warm up. I will try to get off earlier maƱana and hit the peaceful Cheeseboro which is a 60% fireroad ride, it climbs 600 ft in 4 miles.

It was real hot in OC and LA today so I decided to ride at home, but when leaving work it got cool so I rode Cheesboro and saw lots of wildflowers in the upper canyon
