....came back to the parking lot tonight and everyone was gone. I think it was around 9:25. I win the world's record for the slowest ride. Nobody wants to hear excuses but here goes.

    1. My 2010 Stinky Deluxe went on a diet by spending some $$ with lighter tires, lighter cassette>PG980, sold the dual crown fork & put on a Marz 55 w/lock out, carbon handlebar & Raceface Chesters. I thought the thing was now about 35-38lbs at THE most. I weighed it tonight and its 40lbs. Damn!
    2. Right at Hiltscher, my light battery died. I deserve it, its about 7 years old. How long do Lithium batteries last anyway? So riding thru the railroad track area and the golf course I had to go slow because I couldn't see sh*t.
Going thru that smelly damn tunnel wasn't fun either.

I forgot what time we left but it was a bit later than usual, regardless I hold the record. Pictured: my boat anchor. IMG_20160128_230223.jpg

Its overkill for big bear too but it being 26" and worthless I have to ride the crap out of it, kinda like buying a nice laptop--- you have to use it a lot because it's already obsolete the moment you walk out of the store

If you want to go fast it needs a real chain ring. That gearing will top out. Your top speed is probably 20-25. You have 11 in the back, you need 42 in front if you want to get to 35. Better yet get a 44-32-22 and be king of the hill

What you're missing is a bike with more suspension. That'll definitely make you faster on fully loop...definitely. But hey, at least you completed it and didn't just bail and go home. Props for that.
