It seems to me that the Luge has gotten a bit more challenging this year. The bumps seem a bit bumpier and the little lips to jump off seem to have a bit more drop beneath them. Maybe the lack of rain has really beat up the trail. Don't get me wrong, I love it as it is now, but it seems it use to be more of an intermediate level trail and now seems a bit burlier than it has in past seasons.

Think so, or is it just imagining things?

You're imagining things, if anything - smoother and more flow.

It seems the same to me, and my times have been increasing lately so I doubt it is getting worse. Other than the new jump that was added sometime in the summer, it feels the same as always. That jump was an excellent addition too.

Well I'm glad some one likes the new additions. I have to admit that I haven't been building or maintaining for the past couple months due to my busy school life, so there are quite a bit more brake bumps that are starting to get deep. I can promise you guys a lot of good work with all this rain coming. Jim and I have been working on drainage on STT and Luge trying to prep for the rains, as soon as that is done we will start the tread work on the trail. After that I will personally commence checking and shaping the burms, from top to bottom. My goal is to have the trail dialed this winter! If you guys want to donate to support the luge and help us replace worn or broken hand tools it would be much appreciated. You can donate here:http://www.trailforks.com/directory/8199/

We've been riding the luge lately and I have to say it is in top notch shape. The new berms and less stutter bumps imo are awesome. Super flow!! Almost hit my fastest time the other day

I concur, it's more fun. There are more actual drops, and the catch berms on the left turns (installed by Kioti) keep us from launching ourselves into oblivion. The little "Lower Trestles" section after the climb out is a sweet little bonus. You can thank Jim (Kioti) and Mo for that bit of work.

I'll be interested to see how the Luge looks after this last rain. Hope there aren't a bunch of mudslides.. or rockslides.. or more fallen branches..

..and I sincerely hope everyone reading this has a great holiday!.. gets in some good rides!.. and has an amazing New Year!

No deluge, just a nice consistent soaking - we should be good to go!

True, it's more fun! All around more fun! I was thinking that a little work had been done to it.
