    I'm glad I got mine.
I have a history with this. Every time I buy a new Turner, Dave discontinues the model.

Wonder why? Seemed to be a popular build. Dave will replace it with something in his lineup.

Hey Dean, how ya doing? It'll be a while before he does. I stopped by the shop when I was down in Murrieta in August. We were talking, then he was showing me the new RFX and mentioned offhand that the Flux was going away. Slow sales and enduro series being the rage right now, not much of a market for cc bikes. That's why he brought the RFX out again. - Lloyd

There was a flux at the demo on Sunday. the revamped RFX is SWWEETT!!!! I knew better than to pedal it around - it would stick in my head until I bought one.

Something about he couldn't get the aluminum welded in small batches at his old vendor. They went all aircraft.

Did he say who's making his frames now? He was using SAPA up until 3-4 years ago, when SAPA pulled the plug on their bike frame business. -Lloyd

A shame. DT makes a killer CC bike and many of us love them.

Welding by hand is expensive, only someone like Donald trump could get it done by hiring legal status Americans to do the job for the current minimum wage and keeping it there.
And losing a profit by not taking on an aircraft contract. Trump is living in a different country and different decade, perhaps also a different planet.

Building a bike by hand is tedious, though IMO superior over mass production ones---though by all means not degrading Specialized, Kona, Trek, Giant and the other big guys---so welding and CNC'ing parts take a long time compared to computerized machines that crank parts out by the minute. Watch this video, it will make you NOT WANT to be an indie bike manufacturer. It takes a while to build the frames, you have to send it out for powder coating (big brands---many don't powder coat their frames) and you have to keep an eye on tolerances.

I had this Lenz ordered in December 2010 and didn't get it delivered until April 2011--now I know why, LOL. DSC06353.JPG
