Trek Demo Day - 11/14@ Laguna Niguel JAX, 11/15@ Vail Lake
Remedy 9.8 is not full carbon, this year, last year, or the year before. Alloy chainstays, which is typical. This is true for the 29er and 27.5 versions. The next version down is the 9, which is full aluminum. Both versions have the Magnesium Evo Link, not the carbon. Even the 9.9 closeout...- MnMDan

Word is a combination of durability and warranty. The weight advantages of carbon were minimal when engineered for that bike, but cost significantly more than the aluminum. The Fuel is still offered in full carbon though. And it descends better than any dedicated xc rig...I'd steer...- MnMDan
