I make videos because some of the people we know enjoy watching themselves ride. Ron is a guy that records everything on every ride but never posts ha ha!

We ran into them at the start of our 50 miler on Saturday. They are pretty fast on their tandem but they rode 3/4 of the ride with us. Pretty nice because there were some stiff headwinds. We traded pulls for most of our ride but on the little downhill section near the 405 they pulled away opening a gap of about 30 -40 yards. I was still trying to recover from my pull when that happened so closing the gap was not easy. Looked as if they slowed their pace but only to the same pace I was doing so I could not gain. I could have sucked it up and sprinted to the back but then I would have lost Gina in the process so we just let them go. after a visit at the coast they headed off well before we did. Some time later Gina and I were cruising back when we rolled by Moon Park only to see Ron and Dixie sitting in the grass in the shade. Ron was laying down and I thought they were having a picnic. Gina said maybe there was something wrong as Ron had mentioned some HR problems. Sure enough Ron was not feeling well and asked if I had extra water. There was a fountain down the way so I fetched him some water. We sat around for bit then after he seemed to be feeling better, we headed off. They eventually made it back, we saw them at the parking area. Alex had caught Gina and I around the soccer fields so we hung with him a bit to get some footage and pics!

I had met another forum member about 3 years ago on GMR. Smog Steve was up there when the road was closed creating a cyclist's field day on GMR! I think every rider in town was there that day. Well we ran into him again at the start of the ride. He and his wife were on a ride to the coast for pizza and beer.

Gina rode well this weekend! I was feeling it and she just kept smiling (yes, that's a smile in her book ha ha!)

The saddle on my Madone fell apart on me so I ride my Mr. Beanz Mobile on Sunday!

Kind of happy I finally got to ride my latest wheel build. Picked up some Ultegra hubs from Ribble and built up the back wheel a few months back but haven't had a chance to ride it. So now I have. I love the big fat hub shell design. Looks cool!

This video is full of Beanz! :D Ron and Dixie have a Go Pro on the front and one on the back of their tandem. Ron emailed the clips to me so I put them together with some AC/DC Thunderstruck music and named it, well....." Full of Beanz" because it's,....full of Beanz! :D

This was from the 50 mile ride on Saturday (8/9/14)
