Gina and I rode GMR to the shack with friends Herb & Alyce on Saturday then a 42 SART miles on Sunday with Jose.

JohnR (start of video) is one of them crazy Everest Challenge guys. I believe he has some tandem records on the ride. Great rider and very cool guy!

I did speed up the video on a few clips of Gina and Alyce while climbing. :D

Rode my 98 Cannondale CAD3 on Sunday. Just built up the rear wheel so I took it for a spin.

Beanz- I was on the return leg of my SART ride last week, and saw you and Gina heading towards the beach; I didnt yell at you guys until after you passed; was a beautiful day for a ride.

I might have heard you but didn't fully register. At times I think I her other riders shout out but Gina says I'm just hearing things. It's hard to hear most times with the wind in my ears so I'm never really sure. :D

Yes, it was a nice day! Not many riders out though, maybe they are all done with their Amtrak training rides. Saturday on GMR was a very nice day too. Warm but not anywhere near as bad as 2 weeks ago when the humidity was up!

So what do you think B, how does the riding here compare to your "used to be" usual AZ rides?

The riding here has been amazing. My days are numbered however; next stop, Portland. Hopefully I've got until next summer to continue to take advantage of So Cal. Or who knows, maybe some crazy stuff will happen, and I'll be able to stay a bit longer. In any event, we're lucky to have all the options here, and I plan on riding as much as I can until the end.

Oh bummer! Well hopefully the riding in Portland is just as good, but I doubt it, the cold, the rain etc. :D

Thanks I wondered about the AZ vs CA riding. When I did The TourDT and Casa Grande years back, I noticed they had a great attitude for cycling. But I always wondered how much variety was out there as far as terrain and logistics.
