    I wish I had the space/budget for a fatbike. They look like a whole lot of fun.

    I have really been thinking about getting a fat bike. Seeing this thread inspires me even more. My other hobby is overland 4x4 adventures. One area that I have done in my Jeep is the Mojave Trail which goes from the Colorado River to Barstow. On a 4x4 forum that I visit one of the guys posted that he did the 124 miles on his fat bike. Damn. Now I have to do that. That area has really long sections of deep sand so I never considered mountain biking it but a fat bike makes that possible. Check out his trip:

    I hope to do the ride with a buddy in Jan or Feb next year if everything works out. I would have my brother follow in his jeep for sag support and stay in contact with me via HAM radio (and carry all of my gear). But I have to get a fat bike first!
