Have you ever taken a bike clinic or are your skills self taught?

    Wow,
There are that many people interested? Once I get my legs back, I should run some clinics. I just think it will be hard for people to listen to me as I am huffing and puffing just pedaling around, haha.

So we were like a bunch of DH babies, and I think we learned some things that we can use in the future. Hopefully there won't be as many crashes the next time we hit 5 Oaks. ;-)

That was a lot of crashing. At least you all were sufficiently padded and helmeted. I've never really thought of 5-Oaks as a full-face kind of trail, but it does get pretty steep and a little sketchy so I guess any fall can be quite a tumble. Good job.

I've gone down 5 Oaks before with no incident. The number of crashes is directly proportional to how out of our comfort zone we went. We were doing drops and jumps we would normally avoid by going to the p-lines.

    Need a Clinic!

So I had planned on taking Joe Lawill's class, but my schedule hasn't allowed it. Now there aren't going to be any more for a while. And I need some help!

So, anyone know of something similar? I've seen the posts about the DH clinics, and while I'd like to do one, right now I'm in need of more all-around instruction. XC to AM, if you will.

I'm open to one-on-one coaching as well. So if anybody has a suggestion, please let me know!

Julius is a great teacher and he does both XC and DH clinics. More info here: MTB Skills Clinics and here http://www.socaltrailriders.org/forum/adrenaline-factory/25974-dh-skills-clinics.html
