There WILL be a raffle. More info to come later on ... Also, lets start posting up stuff that people can bring. Here's just a quick list: a grill somebody that can be the grillmaster (+ equiptment) meats buns for hot dogs or burgers snacks drinks plates, utensils, etc easy ups ....?
put me down for korean ribs, mmmmmm. i'll grillem, and can be talked into assuming the role as grillmaster. don't worry pho'dup, i'll make ya proud. but, my grill isn't mobile, so i'll have to work someones grill.
I'll bring an EZ up, chairs, something to grill, something for adults to drink and appropriate cups, something for kids to drink, napkins, plates, utensils. C
This is to confirm that alcohol is not allowed in the park. We'll try to set up our 3 ring circus out of the way so if someone is drinking out of a cup, I doubt anyone will check what's inside. But be discreet about it. Also, as mentioned in the first post, you will need to bring something to grill if you plan on eating. Chances are good there will be extra but I wouldn't count on it. It would be great if everyone also brought a side dish, etc to share. If anyone has one of those long folding tables please post if you can bring it. That would be handy. My grill is natural gas and is not mobile. If someone has a grill with wheels please post if you can bring it. Two would be better but we can survive with one. Please make sure they have enough propane for the day.
I have at least one of those long folding tables but my car isn't big enough for it. I can bring some snacks (chips, cookies, etc) and a few sodas.
I still need to confirm I can make it but if so i got this little Weber grill we can use if no one has larger (use it mostly for tailgating/car camping).
Hey Bananseat. No worries I can pick up some extra meat. Just trying to rember what the formula is. I think for big eaters it may be a pound or 2 per person depending on whether you get boneless ribeye or not. Does milf park have an electrical outlet? I could bring a electric grill. Otherwise, I'll ask around. I could possibly get a Smokey Joe grill that uses coals. C
Is it one of markets off Garden Grove Blvd? Or the one Korean supermarket in Tustin off Redhill? Just curious. If you want to get the meat. That's cool. Just buy whatevers on sale I say. I'm not that picky and it always taste good. I'll chip in for the meat and bring the kimchee or rice if you want it. Still chasing that Smokey Joe BBQ... Carl
We have a charcoal grill with wheels but like the table thing - it doesn't fit in my car. If someone wanted to come pick me up with a truck?
Bummed to say I'm changing my response: I can't make it. Pretty good excuse though, as I'll be riding somewhere on the Central Coast that weekend, then Sedona the following week. If the gathering is as big as it's looking, I'd suggest going easy on the alkyhol (it's a pretty small, family-oriented park) and also sticking to gas grills only. How bad would it suck if the embers from an MTBers charcoal grill got loose? Just my $.02. Have fun all. Hope the wife and I can make the next one - we were both looking forward to it.
I've got a gas grill & a truck, so I can bring it if nobody else wants to. I'm also good for bringing at least two side dishes, some carne asada, some gatorade, and (hopefully) I can get my work to throw in some non kiddie type beverages.
Yes, please bring the grill. Keep the adult bevvies discreet. No alcohol is allowed in the park Thanks C
We'll be in Hawaii, but our propane grill is available if necessary. Just needs to be picked up in Fullerton and kept safe 'til we get back. Have a folding card table and 4 chairs as well.
