Count me in. I can't really tell from the GPS route, are the Seven Sisters towards the beginning or the end?

Man, that's a tough century. I've got a torn rotater cuff so I'm out but I'd really love to do this one. Are you going to print out a route sheet and if you do can I get one?

Gives me something to aim for when I get back on the bike.

looks like the route has 7 sisters at the end. Started in Irvine and headed thru the canyon and thru Live Oak to RSM. Down Antonio towards Crown Valley and then hit the 7 Sisters at the 50 mile mark...

    Keep Us Posted!

I am game as long as I stay in winter shape. So far work has been slow and have been riding to keep my base! Hopefully when it happens I can handle. Let us know!

Trails closed, weather forecast not good - time for Seven Sisters.

Got 45 & 5700' from my place off 17th in Costa Mesa. Rode the 29'er h/t with Fast Trak 2.0's @ 55 psi. Ride time: 4:30

    Bagged:

    Skyline to Park to TOW
    Temple Hills to Alta Laguna
Blue Bird to Summit to Del Mar to top of the Meadows
    Newport Coast - Vista Ridge

Light rain on Old Top of the World and I headed back for Newport Coast/Vista Ridge - forgot rain stuff.

Throw in Nyes and this will be a decent route with good vertical. Don't want to head down to PID and that stuff down there - on the 29'er this was a 10 mph avg. day for me.

This may be my program for the next week...ugh....roadie riding the 29'er

Any suggestions for longer street climbs (1 mile more) between Skyline and Nyes? Thx.

Repeat today of Sunday's ride with a couple more added:

    Nyes
    Bluebird to Morningside
    Park from the bottom

    'Six Sisters' + Newport Coast/Vista Ridge=

    Nyes
    Bluebird/Morningside
    Bluebird/Summit
    Temple Hills
    Park
    Skyline
    Newport Coast/Vista Ridge

Finished with 50 and 6800'. I used Temple Terr. for a turnaround on both Bluebird/Summit and Bluebird/Morningside to save time and probably lost about 300' there. Started late because of the rain and still got wet. Ride was 5'45".

Not news to many I guess but, this is a great training area for climbing. Great scenery, amazing houses packed up/down the streets and just a very cool vibe in one of the great looking towns out here. These climbs aren't too long (2 miles tops) but, they've got some bite to make it a pretty good workout. Riding up/down these hills from Park to Nyes you can get big vertical gains/ mile in a very compact area with very little traffic. Big fun day.

I have also been climbing the same streets. I like checking the houses out, not so much the newer ones but the old cottages. The views of the ocean don't hurt either. Give Alta Vista a try instead of Nyes less traffic.

I'd like to head out and do up some sisters soon if anyone is interested. I will be on a 1x10 mountain bike FYI.

Just let me know when. I do PID at least once a week with the others thrown in on a somewhat regular rotation.

Here you go. Have fun. Getting into the 3 hour club on this is much more rewarding than the 5 minute club on Cholla.

Plenty of parking at the Aliso/Woods Parking area off Alicia.

There is going to be a group riding the route Saturday morning.
