Doberman Pinscher (Urgent Dog needs home)

You might want to see if the dog is microchipped before you give him away....a lot of them are these days. If he's a runner....he might just be seriously lost. Contact your local Vet or Animal Shelter and they can wand him to be sure.

 

he was left tied to my neighbor's fence. last week someone drove by and threw a cat out of the window of their car. last summer there were others abandoned on my block too. i wonder if the people just know that we are out to help the animals.

 

All the more reason to see if he's chipped....the owners can be fined (if they intentionally dumped him).

I put the word out with my friends and fam. I will let you know if I hear anything. Just to confirm, he's good with kids, dogs & cats (from what you've been able to tell so far)?

I would totally take him but I think my other dogs would plan some sort of Animal Farm revolt.

 

Also check the lost section of the books kept at the shelter you can call and ask. They only look if you ask plus leave your number in the found section. Atleast it's there and not in the mountains...breaks my heart I deal with that in these hills all the time these idiots need to suffer what animals suffer left out there to die.

got news from the guy housing it. needs to be gone tomorrow. if someone can take him, please let me know, and ill keep him at the shop until pickup.

 

This breaks my heart. I love dobermans, but do not have the resources for one.

 

Have any of the So Cal dobie rescue sites been interested? it seems that a young male with a docile personality should be well received with a rescue group. Please give them a call before your neighbor drops the dog at the pound. It sounds like a nice pup. here is one group - maybe they can help

My dogs are very dog selective so I can't offer any foster care.

This is heartbreaking to see because I have the space at home, however I will not be living here for the next 12-13 years and my parents are unwilling to take on the burden of another dog at their age if I were to leave him with them.

We need more people like that...I wish every cat on my street was thrown out of a moving cars' window...on the freeway.

Sucks the dog was left...hope you find it a home.

 

Still no word back from Pop's but can pick him up tonight if a better home has not been found.
