I'm in El Cajon and I'm cooking in this heat. I can't imagine that Tucky is hotter than this. Headed up in about an hour or two to catch a few late afternoon runs. See yall up there.

well, that course is REALLY cool. showed up early and had 5 runs in when the shuttle started. called it a day so I wouldn't melt, and just hung out with people.

to be honest, I'm a little worried as to what the track is going to look like tomorrow. it was is pretty crummy condition when I got there at 6, and it only got worse.

still, a super fun course. I really wish that I was competitive in expert class so I could race that course (which is pretty fun and tricky). also, I wish I didn't have to take the second sport line. it flows WAY better, despite an awkward drop and a few pools of silt.

thankfully, Donny is cool with us doing the drop in the lower classes, so that's a plus.

and take it easy out there guys. today took a lot out of me, and I wasn't pushing it at all. I'll be out bright and early to get in 2 runs or so before the race, and maybe session some stuff, so come find me if ya wanna ride.

I will be bringing a five gallon water jug again for DOnny to have up top during the race. Hopefully it will last through out the race.

definitely. it would have been nice if it didn't get blown up (literally, it went from coherent to non-coherent), it would have been even better.

I really like seeing this type of course at fontana, but I think one change would be cool: allow sport guys to take the expert lines! they should set it up as a single course, that everybody can ride, and have longer p-lines for people not up to the trickier tech stuff.

I know that one of my crashes probably wouldn't have happened if I could take the second split, and possibly not the second one (since my bars got tweaked in the first dirt nap)

anyway, it was still a fun weekend. good racing action. I'm a little bummed that I lost out on 3rd place with a bad second run, but that's racing.

oh, and matt, that's your freebie. don't expect much compassion at mammoth ;)

Whats funny is I was talking to Nancy and Roger last night about that, and he had done in the past but stopped due to safety. Last time some beginner kid took expert line and had to be airlifted out. After hearing that I think the way it is now is better and it gives people motivation to move up.

Great weekend of Racing, the heat was not to bad, the coarse was short but very fun, and no wall. Another excellent event by SRC.

Got to send some healing vibes to Dave Buckell, tough as nails old man, (I can say that because I'm old too.) and Traci for taking a beating this weekend, and still making the podium.
