I'll probably do that and pick up some t-shirts from ya too

Does anyone wanna get out there a bit earlier on saturday (i.e. like 6am) to do DH practice before it gets too hot? I was thinking wake up early, practice for awhile until it got too hot, and go relax and watch 4X from my truck :?:

Trying to get pics into album before I have to leave but the course is all down the left side of the mountain(looking down) splits briefly up top and part way down. The pro line is about the same as the Nationals launching off the rock up top leading into some steep rocky sections. Does not go near the saddle cuts down to the left. Not boring very fun !!! Stay on your toes eh. The lower garden runs down the center didn't see any tape below but ??assume ?? ends at the wall not sure? Surlygal,Vince & son , Happy Gilmore have been out practicing already so maybe they can give their take. Working quickly on pics but my computer sucks :-k

I talked to Donny this morning, the course does end at the lower rock garden :)

My take: Middle section is super fun, loose, steep and off camber all bundled up in one....Couple spots are tricky, 2 runs is going to be interesting, all I know is I will need ALOT more speed to get through the middle clean!

The rock gardens didn't seem to give me much to worry about, the steeps to a hillside uphill off camber, loose, with a turn here and there are what kept getting me. Lots more practice tomorrow!

thanks for hiking/riding and some waiting for me today guys!

that looks like a ton of fun! :bang:

is that part in chuck's last picture the pro line? cause that looks really cool to me...

I think I'm gonna like this course though. lots of tech stuff, not a lot of stupid, loose, lame hairpin off camber turns.

is it a fast course? or is it a pick-your-way-through course? please say fast [-o-]

Most of the techy rock sections are the Pro/Expert lines (all Chucks pix are pro/expert line)....Not sure where you getting "not a lot of stupid, loose, lame hairpin off camber turns" cause pretty much the 2nd part of the middle/ravine where the course reconnects is all of that #-o(guess I wasn't clear enough) but maybe??? not as many turns as previous courses?? (I don't know it was just HOT!!!)

Bryan your gonna have to move up to Expert if you want rocks! Donny always re-routes us bottom feeders around the rock sections ;)

Today (but I think I was already super tired from pushing ALL the way up in the heat) I may change my mind tomorrow -I found it to be by far the most technical course i've been on at Fontana*.. oh and btw - did I mention how HOT it was??

*Just one persons view who's only been riding DH for 5 months, others may ride it and feel differently.
