So this morning I woke up, turned on the TV and the movie "The Guardian" with Kevin Costner was on TBS and we ended up watching the entire flick from beginning to end before starting the day. How real is that movie to actual USCG training/life? I'm guessing it's a loooong stretch, but was actually thinking of this pic as I was watching the movie. Just curious :?:

By the way peeps, I am floored and impressed by the diversity of what everyone does to pay the bills and fund their love for bikes.  :bang:

Hi, My name is Dustin, And I am an STR Member

I have a BA in Automotive, and work in the feild.

Also when I am not wrenching on cars I am wrenching/selling bikes.

Been in auto since I graduated Hi school, worked right through college, had to earn my own way through. Been working on bikes for about eight years ever since I was givent hat poor Cannondale rigid Mtn bike that got me into this sport. Been to Barnetts, learned from some of the best in Southern California about the Bike Business.

I work for two of the best business Managers out there, Gerry Armstrong at Camino west services, and Ramon Gonzalez at CycleryUsa. I have learned form the best when it comes to customer service, and I know nothing less than the best when it comes to either occupation.

Yes,I heard that.My father had attended a few of the reunions, and the last remaining crewmen were supposed to be invited to the commissioning.Unfortunately he passed away before that happened.I have a lot of photos from the war that he left me,including a photo of the ship's bridge with the final war tally-4 Japanese dive bombers,2 torpedo bombers shot down, and 1 Japanese submarine sunk.Since I don't have any kids,I'll probably donate the albums to the Tin Can sailors assoc.-Lloyd

    My name is Jason

    Currently THE BIKE DOCTOR WWW.OCBIKEDOCTOR.COM

Previously employed as as the sales manager at one bike manufacturer and a warranty manager at another. I still dabble in the sales end of the bike MFG.

My career before getting 100% into the bike industry was Wireless communications. Sprint/Nextel , Cingular,At&t Network Operations.
The layoffs in the wireless industry pushed me into doing something I like doing.
Working on bikes.:) The crazy maintenance widows and the unstable contract work helped keep me away from it.:-k Great money but pure frustration.

I work in a prison. Although I won't get you a box of chocolates or mints to put on top of your pillow each day, I CAN get you a clean(er) bed roll and try not to cell you up with bubba. If that does happen, I know some of the medical staff and can get you some lotion. 8-[

    My Specialty...

I am John. I specialize in fishing, cycling, music, and living.
    Sometimes I work.
For the past few years I have worked for a Civil Engineering firm. Need some help with land maps, or property boundaries? I know where to look.

I also have a quite few years of Machine Design under my belt. Solid modeling, and parts design is quite a good time.
I could help with your parts.

Years ago I was a Finish Carpenter, that lasted for about 10+ years. I am finished with that.

    John G:wave:
