Brand new to this site. Hope this contributes. Week from last sunday. Been down this single-track a few times this year. Some areas on the uphill turns before the first road crossing; erosion around the rocky areas have made this a more techincal challenge. Lots of use evident. Sandy areas are even more sandy and numerous widow maker pine (ponderosa?)cones, the large ones with thorns cover the track. Allow more time to see what's coming. "Lower," Lower rock creek has a 100ft rock slide that will soon be repaired. Made it without a flat, still one of my favorites.8-[
Just the facts ma'am. Short but schweet. We all like to look at the pretty pictures, but stopping to take them? Sometimes not so much. I know that's kept me from turning in much in the way of RR's.
First, :welcome: Yeah Tomcat7, how 'bout some photos, I know you took some, its in the blood  Anyhow I'm jealous, I missed Lower Rock Creek this year, I know there is still time, but I don't think I'm going up for awhile. I have thought of doing a ride from Rock Creek Lake down through Lower Rock Creek. Maybe we can get together sometime and hit it. Anyhow it's good to have you join, now lets see some of your great photos!
Need photos! I scouted that route out starting at Mosquito Flats, jury is out if it would be a good route, but how can you lose it is so pretty out there. I so want to try to ride it, will be a combination of fisherman's trails, and pavement though the numerous campgrounds, plus no way not to use the road in the narrows. Dean
