Not sure this is a proper website for this kind of stuff. Would it be better to offer such fine firearm at a gun club instead of a bike club?:?:

This is not what I meant when I said traffic control.#-o

Sorry, figured that mountain bikers would have some gun enthusiasts too. If inappropriate feel free to delete.

    For some levity...

I did this on my road bike to mock some cyclists who wanted to carry while riding road... no way to conceal in spandex.. Just zipped tied for fun.

Nice traffic control...although I'd put it at more accessible locations.;)

But this is a family oriented site. I have exchanged posts, conversations and went on rides with many that are under age of 18. I myself do love target shooting and it's great fun.

But I do like to ask you to rethink posting this add here on STR. I am not a mod and I can not delete your post, but I do like to ask for a bit more sensitivity and better judgment. Again this is simply my personal opinion and suggestion. I have nothing against guns or ownership of guns. Just feel this may not be a good place for it.

Would you want your kids to brows websites that got people posting guns for sale?:?:

If mods don't see anything wrong with it then so be it.

Well I'm glad to see other gun enthusiasts here on the boards. I personally agree with you to the extent that shooting can/should be a family experience. And I don't mean shooting your family for all you psychos :p.

I'm a big proponent for lawful ownership and operation of firearms. I give anyone who knows me the opportunity to go shooting with me in safe and controlled environments, and that has at times included kids < 18. Obviously with their parent present. As for sensitivity and judgement, I'm not sure where that is coming from specifically. but we can talk about that via PM.

i agree. i'm not really an avid gun supporter (but i shoot skeet occasionally with my dad), but my kids don't need to get ideas. those are nice looking machines indeed.

I don't disagree at all but remember the kids on this site don't always or never have parents supervision because it is assume a family oriented site.

And you hit what I am trying to say dead on! "Obviously with their parent present." "in safe and controlled environments".

I simply don't believe this site the kids are either have their parents present nor a controlled environment.

And don't take me wrong, I'm not trying to bash you in any ways. Just personal opinion and suggestion.

Are you guys serious? We post pictures of beer all the time and somehow that's ok? So a kid somehow sees a picture of a gun and wants to shoot someone? So if he sees a picture of a beer bottle, he wants to do a DUI? WOW. Do you see a gun ad as the same level as hardcore porn? I don't see anything wrong with it. It's in NON-BIKE related sales. He's not doing anything illegal. It's not like some kid can just go buy this gun, what the hell? So somehow you'd let your kid go on Myspace but oh geez, God forbid there be a picture of a gun.

    Better sensitivity and judgement? LOL.

To the OP, awesome pieces. How do you like the SAO? I have a SIG fetish and am very used to the DA/SA. However, I also like the cocked and locked idea. How well did SIG implement this, because it looks like a retrofitted version of a DA/SA.

I got no problem with that as long as it safe and controlled. Looks like you got some older people to make sure you don't do something stupid like checking the barrel when it jams:lol:

So if a kid watches TV which has guns nonstop on every show and is not accompanied by a parent, then its not safe and controlled? RIDICULOUS.

Definitely. Both guys are police officers, the far one is a Sergeant, both are on the SWAT team, and there was my stepmom who is also a Sergeant there.

Well if you don't mind drinking and have other drinking right in front your kids then go ahead.:?: Guns and alcohol don't belong together, not even in an thread.

And some of the drinking pictures have been addressed by the mods.

Kids play video games that are far worse than a picture of a few guns for sale that they will never actually have contact with imo. But hey, to each their own. I agree with you 100%, sensitivity/judgement concern. Legal firearms transfer through an FFL. Nothing pictured (previously) was/is representing illegal or reckless use of a firearm. But anyway... more importantly...

I wouldn't say sig retrofitted the SAO into the 220. They simply did not want to retool the frame for SAO, just like they don't for the DAK trigger. both have the ability to house a decocker, but they don't because the actions don't require it. I love the P220R, nightsights, carry length, reliability of a sig, but with a condition 1 carry option. One big benefit to the sig design over a standard 1911, you can keep the safety on, chamber clear, hammer down, and still rack the slide. Good way to store the gun in a safe semi-ready condition.

I am not even really sure what to say about this. I am just sad however that I didn't get to see the aforementioned firearms because some people are just...

You know, some things are just better left unsaid.

Sad, I know... but some people apparently don't like photos of inanimate objects. :) They're nice photos to boot hehe. If you're interested in seeing the photos I'll send you a PM.
