My goal for this thread is to go back in time.

If you have pics of yourself riding 20 years ago- let's see them!
Your first bike- let's see it. Dstepper Hippie pics? Pain Freak?
Sar Boats "hucking" on the USS Ronald Reagan. :D

If enough people join in- I promise to add a few "less than flattering" DB images.
So as not to completely embarass myself, I will start with a few bike shots...

    Early 90's.... Turnbull freeride session!
No helmet, no gloves, white tube socks, white basketball shoes, cutoff shirt, short shorts from Guatemala, 22" flat "DH" handlebars, 1.95" tires up front, 2.1" tires on the back! #-o
    [IMG]

My first DH bike... 1995 Manitou SYSTEM DH
Bike shown is the standard FS model- essentially the same bike
Ready for this? 3.5" travel RED Rock Shox Judy DH fork up front... 3.5" elastomer based DH rear suspension!! At the time, it was one sweet bike. Now missing fork/wheels

I'll have to delve deep into the sea chest to see if there are any pics of me biking back in the day. But here are two I can contribute, non-bike related tho...

One is a buddy and me lighting up at the COMNAVSURFPAC Ball in '99

The other is me, another able-bodied deckhand, and some trainees in the rigging, stowing the topsail and course in '98, before I joined the Navy

Here's one of my old favorites........

I'm the "monkey" hanging over the side!

I've been talking with a couple of friends about building a mountian sidehack. It would be a wild ride down Harding on one of these!!:bang:

Here's one from about 8 years ago. The bike was my first REAL mountain bike. A Giat Warp DS 1, with four inches of travel.
Can any of you guess the often ridden location?

    San Juan?

Justin rode San Juan in like 93-94 once.. they shuttled and he still says it was the hardest ride of his life. He went with a guy that worked for Shimano and bunch of his buddies. Crazy story. Apparently the trail is in much better shape now ;) Don't think he's got any photos, but it'd be killer to see it!

    Hey Maxwell,
That looks like the second turn at the old La Mirada Regional park track. I started racing BMX at that track, and I also race sidehacks there around the same era (early 80s). I wonder if we raced against each other...from what I remember, there were usually no more than three hacks on race day.
