one of these things is not like the others...one of these things does not belong

but yeah, you're right. if you can find a bike that properly fits, being tall can help a lot.

DLs, it sounds like you might need a bigger (longer) frame. that will pull you more forward, bringing your body down a bit more parallel to the ground. its faster, tends to weight the front wheel better, and puts you in a better position to take up bumps/rail corners.

the pickings are a little slim for us really tall folks (I'm 6'6", 33" inseam, read all torso). I tend to look at the reach/stack numbers for DH bikes, since I've had the best luck comparing with it. new bikes, the longest is the canfield Jedi XL (18" reach), followed by the V10 carbon XL and the Demo 8 L (17.6" reach), then you get into the Intense M9 L and Trek Session 88 XL (17.2" reach), and then it probably goes to the XL turner DHR DW (16.75" reach).

Used bikes, large V10's aren't that bad. Older square-tubed turner DHRs are fairly long, and probably the specialized demos.

Yeah I watch the TT length closely. The Faith 3 im on now is good, i just feel a bit cramped. im 6' with a 34" inseam. Half & Half which is frustrating cuz i tend to be more foreward and pedal when i ride. i dont stop pedalining if i can help it oddly enough, i need to break that habbit honestly.

Those DHRs are DAMN sexy. I love how everything is kept so low on the frame.

Do you think Mammoth Bike Park will be open this summer due to the ridiculous amounts of snow this season?

    By the way, sweet DHR!

Scheduled opening day is June 24. There is still a lot of time to melt the snow. Pray for rain!
