The picture of the hubs drive side looks more like something from the military then something off a bike.
If you've ever seen the famous Citibank Visa commercial... that guy has the world's lightest bike!!
Lame, I could see doing this as a profession but just for kicks? Personally there are better things to do than constantly truing wheels and loathing every crack in the road. I don't know how you guys ride around on those things...
apparently the guy rides it daily. apparently it's a legitimate 2x9. probably a 11-12-13-14-15-16-17-18-19 cassette, which seems useless or this bike is ridden in Iowa or some other ridiculously flat state.
He actually says it's a 2x6, not a 2x9. Those extra cogs = too many extra grams. And if he's riding 620 miles/week, as claimed, he's probably strong enough not to need those bigger ones in the back!
right- knew i missed something. 2x6? cr@p- i havent seen a 6 speed rear cassette/freewheel since the 80s.
I'm still riding a 7 speed rear on my 20 year old specialized allez epic... and my roadie bike that I keep at my parent's place still has a 6 speed!
