Maybe you are just getting old? :?: usually pain from riding gets better as time goes on, but pain from getting old gets worse as time goes on.

I feel great today! Ready to do it again next weekend!

Do a short walk to get the blood flowing and then lay down with Sierra's :D

Second day is usually worse for muscle pain IIRC. We should all at least be feeling moderatly better tomorrow ;)

I was MUCH worse yesterday. Today I can almost walk upright. I think the glass of wine and ibuprofen may have helped.

    Who's racing next weekend?

    edit: don't think that I am ;)

i feel pretty good, though my tush is still a little sore from sitting on the saddle for so long. I rode the fixie around for 30 minutes yesterday which i think really helped me loosen up, that and a lot of stretching. Hope everyone is ready for the season finale at Fontucky this weekend!!!

Feel much better today. Yesterday, I couldn't even walk so Ann took me to the spa and got me a massage. I wanted to cry when the masseuse was kneading out my muscles, but today, I can walk and even run up the stairs. :)

I feel fine today and not very bad yesterday. My shoulder and neck are the most sore, but nothing bad. I think I might go out to Perris and play on the BMX track tonight with Denmother and others.

I feel pretty good actually. Yesterday the back was really sore, and I felt stuck in that bent over the bike position. So I went to the gym and swam for about 35min. and then sat in the jacuzzi and stretched.

I'm a big believer in swimming to change things up from the bike. Totally stretches my back and shoulders out and undoes what I do myself on the bike.

Surprisingly my legs, and my bionic knee feel pretty good. I guess I didn't work hard enough Saturday.#-o Though, I do think I'm catching a cold. Time to down some airborne STAT.

When I rolled up to the entrance, I thought about riding it down. It looked easier than last year and most of the brush/bush that was in the way was gone. I ended up pussin' out and walking it cause I didn't want to fall after all that effort and the camera man snaps a photo of me carrying my bike down #-o

You should totally give CC a try. You hate climbing, so I wouldn't necessarily suggest VQ

CC is totally do-able for you with some training (gotta figure out nutrition, etc.).

I rode it. It's not that bad once you start rolling in to it. It did look a bit scarier on Saturday when my legs were cramping intermittently. I've always ridden down it before, plus there was a camera there, so I went for it. I probably would've cramped up and fell if I walked it.

I'm actually feeling pretty good today. Was fairly stiff when i woke up yesterday morning, but just drank lots of water to flush out my system and had a decent breakfast. Then I went down to san clemente and read on the beach for the better part of the afternoon, followed by some "recovery" drinks at pizza port!
And i didn't even consider cleaning the top section of LHJ!

I'm feeling pretty good today. Not much different than after some of my longer training rides. Maybe it was the El Pollo Loco chicken I used for recovery fuel.

My shoulders had some mean knots in them yesterday but today they seem to have subsided.

Legs are just feeling a little tight - just like after every weekend. I didn't get cramps, so they never really felt sore.

That being said, I feel like I left a lot on the table. I should be feeling much worse.

And I wussed out walked the Holy Jim entrance as well...

    Go for it Nam.

You've got time to build up your endurance slowly. I was looking at a lot of training plans for endurance racing and most of them build the length of your long weekly ride very gradually. Even just adding 30min. a week to that ride. So you don't overtrain and give your body some time to adapt. Mixed in with shorter rides for recovery, intervals, and high intensity workouts.

You can do one of the 12hr. Temecula races as a gut check and try out fueling nutrition plans and stuff. Go out there and run as many laps as you can. Doesn't have to be the full 12hours.

Not if my knee still hurts. I want to get healed up for Keyesville.

Yeah, but before all this, I hated climbing too. Now, I just mildly detest it
