not sure, but when i searched... it seemed that there were a few posts on it and only 2 people said a flavor was bad? i think someone said they didn't like the apple berry. anyways, looking for a drink for the trail rides. i have drank cyto before, and i guess i am thinking about going back to it?

i have tried accelerade (years ago), but didnt' like the taste...

i guess i am looking for a recommendation on a drink, and also flavors that might be good...

reason, want to steer away from gatorade, and buy a larger jar of powder drinks. might save me some cash... forgot to also say, i wanted to stay with drinks for now, cause gels are harder to ration?

Tangy orange Cytomax tastes exactly like orange Tic Tacs. I like this flavor a lot.

Tropical fruit is ok, but it got old for me and I probably won't buy it again.

The best deal I have found on Cytomax is through Amazon.com's subscription program. It saves you 15% off of their already low price, plus you usually get free shipping. You can cancel at any time.

DO NOT, under any circumstances, buy apple berry Cytomax. It tastes like soap.

As BM stated, Cytomax Tangy Orange is good, I do not like the others.

Currently I am using Accelerade "orange" and it does taste better then it used to plus they have changed the mixture a bit. I would suggest trying a sample before buying though.

Others I have used and liked, HammerNutrition's "Sustained Energy" or "Perpetuem" tatse is ok but they work.

EAS - "Endurathon" works as well and taste ok (again I like the orange flavor). My problem with this product is it tends to clump up if it has been on the shelf to long OR is kept in a warm and/or humid place preventing it from dissolving/mixing with the water, more so then any of the others. If you can deal with having to "chop" your servings out then it works great.

One that I really liked was VPX Pharmaceuticals "Hydromax", unfortunately they do not produce it anymore so this info does not really help. #-o

i am very interested in both the sustained energy and cytomax. they both seem to have similar formulas. let me so shop around bit and look at some more reviews. seems like hammer is a bit more expensive?

i may try cytomax first, but the price for the bigger jar is so close to the smaller ones, i may just have to get a larger one. not sure, so i wanted to ask about the flavors for now... looks like orange is the popular choice? i think i used to drink orange before...

If you want to try Cytomax I can bring you a ziploc bag with some in it to the loop this week. No charge. The first hit is free. ;)

hahahahaha... man, i could have used it yesterday! what flavor are you using now? i am interested in 1 hit... i think 1 water bottle would be enough to see the taste i think. thanks for your offer.

another thought i had was splitting a larger bottle with someone? i would be happy with taking out the half into another bottle... i have spare containers that would be a good candiate? the other person can keep the original jar?

surprisingly, i was not too sore from yesterday. i had cramped up a bit in the middle which held me back a bit. the ride home was a bit uncomfortable. but today it was barely like i rode at all? and because of my condition now, i may try a super slow fully loop mid week.

We typically use Go Grape, but it tastes like nothing if you get the giant container (I always do). I wound up ordering the pomegranite / berry or whatever it was from allstarhealth (I think) and I really liked it. Outside packaging was different, though, no idea why.

I want to try a few other flavors, but justin is stuck on GG.

Grape, Orange and Lemon / Lime

Grape, Orange and Lemon / Lime are the tastes that I like best for energy drinks.

The trick is to try them when they are warm... Fruit punch and others turn my stomach when they get warm#-o

Cool Citrus and Go Grape are the favorite flavors in our home. Tried the punch..no go.
I don't know how much everyone pays, but I buy it at Peeformance when on sale for $29 for the big jug....which is about every other day, after a few purchases their little 10% gimmick actually buys your new jug of Cytomax. Theres only a few things I buy from peeformance, this is one of them.

For those of you with bad stomachs, what sports drinks do you use?

After the events of this past Saturday, Cytomax has been crossed off my list. Fwiw though, I like the citrus flavor the most.

Yup. All of them taste OK cold, but as they warm up through a long ride, some flavors get downright putrid. Can't go wrong with orange IMO.
